I dont believe any of these journos, so will wait until seasons end. |
I think I believe Robbo more then Stevo.
We have got rid of lot of Big salaries in Heater,Jolly,Didak,Dawes,Wellingam over the last 2 pre-seasons and have not signed a Big Player since _________________ I am Da Man |

<Note that the mods will often let these types of threads stand in GD outside of the actual Trade period. During the Trade period, GD is swamped by similar threads and Nicksters requested a separate Forum for use at that time. Cheers, WPW> |

I'd love to know how many Nicksters it takes to create a new forum compared to how many Nicksters it takes to keep threads in general discussion... _________________ Get back on top. |

Probably much harder to create a new forum as many of us have found with the "perceptive fellow" issues..... |

What does that board have to with a potential recruit? We aren't trading for - or drafting him. _________________ Defender...........

Getting Frawley would mean we aren't completely comfortable with Bucks' first 5 years at the helm being a complete disaster and at least trying to rectify the situation and aren't putting all eggs into the pipe dream basket of being a dominant force in 2 years time.
And thats a good thing in my book. |

Having let Thomas go we should be in a position to top up with a quality experienced player, and that's exactly what this young team needs. Whether that player is Frawley is another question. I think he's a good signing at the right price, and if we're worried about Brown's future due to injury, then he's an excellent fit. Without Brown we only have one quality tall defender if Reid plays forward, so it would be a position of need if there are concerns over Brown. _________________ Well done boys! |

Free agency is for 2 types of players - role players and superstars.
The trick is not to blow a superstar salary on a role player i.e. Carlton and Dale Thomas.
Unless a Buddy or a Dangerfield or a Fyfe are available you're better off saving your money and cap space.
Frawley is not worth the reported 800K - I'm not sure any full back is _________________ http://youtu.be/hvtdbfI1sqQ |

Am sure that if he ends up at the Pies, it will be on our terms.
Forget $800K per year, no way he will be on more than Pendles, Cloke or Swan.
7 year deal just ain't going to happen.
Suspect that Frawley,s motivation is success. He may well be judging that of the clubs that are looking at him, both the Cats and the Hawks may be past their peak and are more than likely to head down. He may believe that we would offer a better chance for success.
Doubt also that the Cats and the Hawks would be paying overs for him. Now the blues, that is a different matter, but what chance success over the next 5 years for the blues? |
