Haha. I propose that all photoshoppers have a small picture of a human being stuck on their monitors. Just for, you know, a reference.

Might have a damaging effect on their psyches, not having a "thigh gap" and all. The horror!

Just having the mirror pointed at where the thigh gap should be could have a damaging enough effect on their psyche. Shocked

I only heard about "thigh gap" through Chris Lillie's character Ja'mie.

My youngest said he was so searingly accurate it was frightening!

So thigh gap is just the opposite of chub rub (legs rubbing together due usually to fat)? What's the problem?

IMO no unreachable beauty ideal is as all encompassing or unjust as that faced by short men. Until I see a campaign for women to treat my short arse brothers with due respect the rest is nothing but fluff. Laughing

I'm not sure how relevant this is, but I'm posting it anyway:

Shows the difference between good and bad photoshoppers. Bad ones make square thigh gaps and gollum like arms, good ones can turn a slice of pizza into a hot model. Laughing

A bit more about this curious/disturbing "thigh gap" phenomenon:

Quote:
To type "thigh gap" into Instagram is to gaze down a dark hole of scary sadness. The sense of horror Edvard Munch captured in The Scream is the terror he felt upon seeing Instagram names such thigh_gap_please and Twitter accounts such as @CarasThighGap.

It all looks like self feeding media nonsense coupled with a few girls who want a certain look with a decent thrown in mixture of trolls who find angry feminists an easy target. Outside the internet and a few fembloggers who inevitably cite tumblr, instagram, Reddit and other Web 2.0 cesspits this whole issue is a massive shitstorm in a very small teacup.

4chan even successfully trolled these people by inventing their own body image controversy with the Bikini Bridge. Complete with tumblrs and instagrams they successfully created hysteria about a made up phenomenon.

Anorexia and boys taking steroids and dying at 20 are body image issues to worry about. So called "unrealistic body image" controversies are almost always bullshit.

Anorexia and boys taking steroids and dying at 20 are unrealistic body image issues. So, for that matter, is practically the entire parasitic "beauty" industry.

I'm with Tannin. This stuff has a severely negative effect on the psyche of the vulnerable, particularly teenage girls. And of course it shifts social expectations of teenage boys too.

If girls want a thigh gap, it's easy.

Just walk as if you just spent the last 2 hours riding a horse or being $%$ed by this bloke http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2199227/Jonah-Falcon-13-5-inches-living-worlds-biggest-penis.html
