Not an emotional decision at all for me, really. I think it's fair to say that I've tried to take an intellectual/rational stance from the beginning. Ethics (morals?) plays a major role in that, though—I don't see any incompatibility between logic and ethics, so long as the latter concern is practical and fact-based, not founded upon dogma or some claim to moral righteousness.

You mean the blunt, flat ones designed to grind and crush plant matter? Or are you seriously comparing our teeth to those of carnivores?
If you want other physiological differences between ourselves and carnivores look at the design of our jaws, the length of our intestinal tract or the acidity of our stomach contents.

Me, I like meat. I've killed animals and eaten them before, but I prefer it when someone else does the messy work.

Plants have protein! Protein is not an issue in a varied, plant based diet. Many famous athletes choose veg diets for the health and training benefits. Billy Simmonds http://billysimmonds.com is vegan.

Plantbuilt https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/plantbuilt-vegan-muscle-team is another example.

I am fitter than it ever was when eating meat. I do not supplement. I have lower blood pressure, lower body fat, lower cholesterol and a far lower risk of many diseases caused by the usual western diet.
I don't train but Saturday gone went for a run 13+km later I still felt great.

Dump the moral stance. It just confuses the issue.

Take a straight out logical stance, make a decision, whatever it is, and go with it. When you waver, you have the logic you originally used to support you.

Logic >>>>>>>>>>>emotion

A logical choice should make it simple.

Ditch the meat for your health.
For the starving ( we produce enough food to feed the world but far too much is used to feed livestock)
For the environment.

Our species produces digestive protease enzymes (especially pepsin and trypsin) in amounts consistent with responding to a diet containing a liberal amount of protein.
We are omnivores.
Our dentition (incisors, canines and molars all being present) and digestive system are clearly such. We lack the bacterial flora to digest cellulose as all true mammalian herbivores possess, but we do produce a variety of carbohydrases that catabolize a variety of other less complex carbohydrates.
We are generalist eaters to the max.
That's clearly our physiology. However deciding on your diet for health, philosophical or environmental reasons is clearly an individual choice.
I'm not myself vegetarian, but on the quiet I do admire vegetarians for a myriad of reasons. But i just enjoy eating meat.

Yeah but I get to enjoy a big juicy scotch fillet or tub of kentucky fried.

I'll die sooner but I'll die happier with a bloated stomach filled with delicious meat.

Now, someone pass me a hamburger.

I did too. I just didn't feel a few seconds of sensory gratification was worth the life of another species or the starvation of members of our own.

Whoa!
If that's some attempt to persuade or convince someone to vegetarianism then it's a monumental fail.

I posted about our anatomy and physiology, I admitted I admire vegetarians for health, environmental and philosophical justifications.

Then you mentioned bacon.

Damn I love bacon... I really love bacon!!
