Buckley clearly wants to play Fasolo as a creative midfielder - the position down back is born partly of necessity and mostly because the Coach wants Fas to improve his defensive efforts. He said as much in his interview on SEN last weekend. So far, the plan looks to be progressing nicely. As the defenders return, I think we may see Fas move to the wing or the defensive midfield position, if his good form holds. Although analogies with other sports are of limited use, I think long-term the aim is for him to play the holding midfield role of a Paul Okon or a Roberto Donadoni, setting up attacks from the back half of the centre square. |

^^Chris Connolly has always said that Faz would be a gun midfielder. Looking very much correct at this stage. Could be a similar type to a Didak in the middle. _________________ Well done boys! |

Fasolo Man's penetrating and accurate kicking are perfect weapons for a winger...hitting up leading forwards and slotting long goals. He'll make it to the wing ala Lanumba. _________________ Est. 2002 |
