Strange. The reason given is: "because of inclement weather in Sydney."
Metricon is wayyyyyyyyyyy north of Sydney.
Just checked the BoM radar. No sign of inclement weather north of Newcastle.

Gold Coast game delayed because the Sydney game needed an extra long quarter time break due to the thunderstorm.
Can't have 2 games overlapping in time. So the crowd at Gold Coast can twiddle their thumbs waiting for the game in Sydney to finish.
If you needed more proof that TV runs the game, you got it. |
