I reckon he'll miss less shots that's for sure!

C'mon Pies - two more behinds and we outscore them this quarter
That win could be sooner than I predicted! What a turnaround

Winning two quarters would be quite a fear given the scoreline. Just wish we could have been a little more competitive in the other two.
Oh, and PM, stay away from the scotch and Pasolini movies! Not even sure what our esteemed Posting XXII coach has done to warrant such advice. Though he might want to try turning up to the coaches' box next week. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace

Agreed. He has been quite good.
Can anyone tell me what Matthew Lappin offers which has kept him at the club for so long, as I haven't seen it? _________________ A wild handpass by Wild! |

Whether it's too hard, too soon or the coaching staff don't see our bullshit defensive structures, one dimensional forward line and appalling conversion rate as an issue, whatever it looks like they've done nada in the off season to deal with them.
To be honest the players don't look to me like they understand or embrace the game plan, coach or culture at the moment. Sure Freo are strong but Christ they're not that strong, our total lack of passion and mongrel has made them look like $£$%^%%$ world beaters. |
Spot on!
There's nothing massively wrong with our list, at least in comparison to the majority of clubs.
Our so called skill errors are more a result of players not being well drilled enough to know where and what to do. In 2010/11 our skills looked so good BECAUSE we were so well drilled. A bit like the way Freo look tonight. _________________ Hearing the 'Black & White Army' roar is the greatest sound in the world. |

Yes, if we score too many goals we won't finish 16th and snag a gun come draft time. |
Erm and what have the premier bid on Darcy Moore with their first rounder and force us to take him with pick #1. No thanks!!! |
That's not the way it works. |
If someone bids are first rounder for him, wouldn't we have to meet it with our first rounder? Ala North this year having to spend #8 on McDonald? _________________ Get back on top. |

Actually, going from 50% to 60% is a 20% better conversion rate on prior year. It's 20 percentage points. _________________ Est. 2002 |

Hmmm. What to think, or believe.
Reid, White, Keefe in can make a big difference, possibly even Lynch if White's no good. Blair, Fasolo, Thomas will all come in over coming rounds. They have to, although Blair will compete with Kennedy who prior to this was looking exceptional. For christ's sake why didn't he start?
Later ... Seedsman (definitely), Karnezis, Freeman, Scharenberg will be in the mix, at least two will play regularly, and may change the dynamic again.
I would assume Beams, Sidebottom, Swan, Young, Lumumba, Toovey, Cloke and Ball will improve quite a lot on tonight's performance in coming weeks. Won't they? Someone say they will?? Very ordinary, all these blokes though I'm prepared to give Young and Toovs some space here for finding some touch after a long time out. But it needs to happen in the next week or two.
Disappointing, but a long year ahead. Trying to be optimistic but difficult.
Subbing out Fyfe. F*&$, they're taking the absolute piss. Freo so far ahead it's not funny. One thing is certain - expecting a top 4-6 is now unreasonable. Hawthorn, Sydney as good as Freo if not better, Geelong not that far behind. Richmond, North, Port, West Coast, Adelaide menacing, Dogs and Gold Coast rising. Carlton and Essendon unknown and 50-50 with us, if not better placed after tonight.
Expect improvement, but feeling a little deflated. _________________ Billy Picken, the great No. 25 in the sky! |
