It's his fault the plane vanished in the first place. |
I was hoping that the Mad Misogynist Miners Monk would ride a tandem bike with Gina Rinehart - both in Budgie smugglers all the way there.
Mind you it's about his first public statement where thousands haven't lost their jobs immediately afterwards _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

If they do I'm going to visit you at work, pin you down and make you watch the video. In slow mo, so you can see every single jiggle from Gina. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

They plan to supervise the towing of the remains of the plane back to Malaysia (Goodies style).
(it's a media op).
(Gina has a stack of 257 visa's in case there's any survivors.) |

Looks like the Chinese have spotted a similar sized piece if debris in the search area.

Quote: | Chinese satellite images have detected a large object in the ocean that could be part of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
The latest possible lead came as the search for the missing plane entered its third week, with still no confirmed trace found of the Boeing 777 or the 239 people on board.
The new potential sighting was dramatically announced by Malaysia's acting transport minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, after he was handed a note with details during a news conference in Kuala Lumpur, scooping the official announcement from China.

"Chinese ships have been dispatched to the area," Mr Hishammuddin told reporters at a briefing in Kuala Lumpur.
China said the object was 22 metres long and 13 metres wide, and was spotted around 120 kilometres south-west of two possible objects seen on satellite images taken on March 16 and announced by the Australian Government on Thursday. |

If they do find floating debris, they still have a hell of a task in finding the actual plane. It will be hundreds of kilometres away from the debris cos stuff that floats gets moved by currents.
Finding the debris is only the start of the search _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Finding the debris is only the start of the search |
Drifting at a rate of 2 knots, an object will cover 88km a day. This plane has been missing for 16 days. That's a possible drift range of 1400 km! Even halving that figure to a languid 1 knot means 700km traversed.
Good grief, it could be anywhere! |

More likely hypothermia, in those waters. But given the likely impact velocity, no-one would have survived past the crash anyway. And in reality, chances are they were all dead or unconscious from hypoxia many hours before that happened. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

It is a pretty big plane. Wingspan and length both over 60 metres.
If that piece is from MH370 though, and on that I'm sceptical, it pretty much rules out an explosion or very high G impact. Thats a seriously large piece. _________________ "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. "

Confirmed that it would have crashed into the Southern Indian Ocean.

Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak held a press conference Kuala Lumpur at 1am Sydney time to make a brief but important statement concluding that the Boeing 777 had flown along the southern arc and had "ended in the southern Indian Ocean".
The announcement comes after British satellite company Inmarsat had performed further analysis of the plane's "ping" data, "a type of analysis never before used in an investigation of this sort" that ruled out the northern arc.
Mr Razak's statement made it clear that there were no presumed survivors: "This is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites," Mr Razak said. "It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that, according to this new data, flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean."
At the same time, Malaysia Airlines held a press conference that included relatives of the passengers of Flight MH370 at the Lido Hotel in Beijing. Fairfax correspondent Philip Wen reported "awful, distressing scenes at the Lido Hotel" where family members of lost passengers reacted to the news that their loved ones were presumed dead.
Malaysia Airlines reportedly sent a text message to relatives of the MH370 passengers that informed them of their loss: "Malaysia Airlines deeply regrets that we have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and that none of those on board survived."
An official statement from Malaysia Airlines followed: "On behalf of all of us at Malaysia Airlines and all Malaysians, our prayers go out to all the loved ones of the 226 passengers and of our 13 friends and colleagues at this enormously painful time. We know there are no words that we or anyone else can say which can ease your pain." |
