Beat me to it. Wink

At this stage, I'll be at this game.

I'm hoping we get to see a few of the seniors. Guys like Blair, Dwyer, Fasolo, Toovey, Goldsack, Thomas, Witts, Sinclair, players who need the match fitness.

Also looking forward to seeing the new VFL-listed guys as well.

Will be great to be back at Victoria Park for the first time in 2014! Very Happy

Do we have to get permission from the AFL to play senior/rookie listed players because it's the last weekend before our round 1 match?

Anyway, I'll be there, hoping to get there for the start if I can.

Yep.

Quote:
Asked if the premiership half-backman would be in the frame for the Magpies’ Round 1 clash against Fremantle, Eade said “he should be’’.

“He has done everything, really,’’ Eade said.

“Just the timeline for when he has done it is to just probably give him another week, just some strengthening just to strengthen around the knee.

“But that should be fine. But we’re hopeful he’ll play next week.

“Our seconds have got a game the next weekend as well so we’ll just make an application for players that haven’t played enough footy and hope he can get a game that weekend.’’

I've got the day off Friday. That's well worth considering going in for a look.

Senior stars named in Friday's VFL squad

Luke Mason March 6, 2014 2:57 PM

Several senior Magpies will add critical game time to their preparations for the 2014 home and away season in Friday’s VFL practice match against Richmond.

Jarryd Blair and Sam Dwyer will make their first appearance of the pre-season after being hampered by niggling injuries over the course of the summer.

The two rovers will be joined by Alan Toovey, Nathan Brown, Quinten Lynch and Jarrod Witts as they seek to get some important run into their legs on the eve of the season proper.

The most disappointing thing about the selected side is that Armstrong isn't in it.
