Mitchell Johnson can do no wrong - certainly from an Australian point of view. He dismissed Robin Peterson with his 7th. ball of the third day of the first Test against Sth. Africa, to claim another 5fa - 5/57.

So, Australia wins by 281 runs, with Johnson taking 12. Pity it was only on pay TV.

Another crushing win inside 4 days but now against the worlds best. Johnson has already left heavy mental scars on Smith, Petersen and Du Plessis, who we couldn't get out in Adelaide but hey there was no Mitch back then.

What makes this result more stunning is that SA have only lost 1 test at this venue since their re entry into test cricket. That loss was contrieved by Cronje to get a result in a rain affected match so we could cash in with the bookies.

That's 6 in a row for the Aussies......

They say SA are bad starters in home series and normally recover and they didn't have much red ball preparation going in to test vs Aussies going through an ashes series. Sounds like a lot of horse shit to me but we will find out in Port Elizabeth on thursday night.

Very similar to the start of The Ashes in Brisbane where the top order collapsed (5/100), but we recovered, amazingly, to win inside 4 days. Loving the fighting qualities of current squad and looking forward to tomorrow night. Hoping to see our quicks in action 1st up, for a change.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat

There are three changes to the SA side. Alviro P is out with gastro. Dean Elgar will open. De Kock will debut, and Parnell will replace McLaren.
