Post subject: Hodge called up for T20 | |
|
Brad Hodge has been recalled to the Aussie T20 squad after an absence of some 6 years.
At 39, Hodge is Twenty20 cricket's leading run scorer of all time, with 5844 at an average of 36.98 from his 209 matches in the format, and could be a valuable player at the upcoming World T20 in Bangladesh if the selectors chose to utilise his experience. _________________ Donny.

Ahh such joy!! Hodge is one of my all time favourite players. VERY hardly done by through some highly suspicious and contentious selection practices in the past, mainly because he was not from bloody NSW.....
I hope they can atone for these huge errors of judgement, at least over the next year or two in the T 20 arena.
Fantastic news. |

Sir Bradley - it would be great to see him play for Australia, again.
Putting aside any conspiracy theories, he was extraordinarily unlucky to be a potential star number 3 Test batsman when Punter was at his peak.
Still, it would be wonderful to see him get to the World T20 - just reward for years of hard work and consistent output. |

bah, happy for Hodge but why do Victorians think he was hard done by in his career? Sure, he was given only a couple of opportunities but he was trying to break into the greatest team off all-time!! just bad luck.
Also, he did himself no favours letting himself get out of shape
i am Victorian btw. |
