Well, you seem to cope with 3.etc and Stui, if that doesn't count as "good with children", what does?

Not sure if the heat had anything to do with it, but just saw the Stokehouse Restaurant in St. Kilda burn to the ground. I've never been in a bushfire, thank god, but it gave me some sense of how terrifying a massive blaze can be.

Such a shame, I love that place.

Does give some perspective though. It took over 70 fire fighters more than 3 hours to bring it under control. I can't imagine what it's like in the bush.

Bring back the sun! Bugger Sad

Yeah seeing something like that fire, really puts things in perspective, where the hell would we be without the CFA.

Fireman in general are a gutsy breed, bloody scary walking into that.

Imagine New York after 9/11, having to replace all those firemen that died. The USA and Americans cope it bad here, but I don't think anyone can question the guts it took to walk into that building that day, such a tragic bloody waste...

Now back to topic, bring back the sun, at least 28-30 please!

Nah, I like this. 28-30 is fine too but after last week, I like this.

Just bought a new fridge and I've been moving stuff round and sweating bullets doing it. Lifting the clothes dryer off the wall in the laundry then putting it up on top of the old fridge was fun, it's not that it's that heavy but holding that weight just by squeezing the sides (no handles) and lifting it over 6 feet in the air to set it down gently worked up a thirst.

Solar activity is declining leading the next Maunder Minimum is approaching. Temperature 5-6 degrees lower than what we're currently experiencing.

Nice long cold winters Smile
