Not good when you are trying to keep a mum with leukaemia safe and cool
I have to keep "popping in" to make sure she is running the bloody air conditioner I bought her for these conditions - old school "oh I'll be right type"
ED is chockers - keep an eye on olds in your vicinity people _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

Were having a thunder storm up my way.
Lots a lighting but bugger all rain which is bad because the clouds are locking in the hot air and there's no cold air mass to make it rain.
Bugger! |

Seems to have moved across to the Blampeid - Dalseford area now. I hope it doesn't start any fires! _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

If a fire breaks out don't worry as I'm putting together a crack team of Nick's posters who full of piss and wind will soon have the fire contained. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Doesn't feel that hot here now, was this morning. In fact about an hour and a half ago I hung out the washing and it must have been over 40. Pool is about 35 degrees though and I haven't had the solar on. Like a bath. Just Did 50 min on the cross trainer/indoor bike (WPT your nuts! I was going to ride outdoor early this morning, but it was burning hot and windy) jumped in the pool, gees I need a cold shower! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I feel sorry for those who don't have air conditioning on these sweltering days.
I never had it growing up and the unit I'm in now is the first to have a split system a/c within it.
Whilst in my previous unit which was on the second storey complete with a flat tin roof I got to the stage of buying a portable a/c unit sick of suffering through hot summer days.
Not as good naturally as split systems with cooling and noisier but it was better than relying on fans and praying for a cooling breeze. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

The best way to sleep in front of those fans blowing hot air was to cover yourself with a wet sheet!! Used to work a bloody treat until the sheet dried and you had to repeat the process a few times during the night!!! But at least you were able to get some sleep. |
