Were having a thunder storm up my way.
Lots a lighting but bugger all rain which is bad because the clouds are locking in the hot air and there's no cold air mass to make it rain.
Bugger!

Seems to have moved across to the Blampeid - Dalseford area now. I hope it doesn't start any fires!

If a fire breaks out don't worry as I'm putting together a crack team of Nick's posters who full of piss and wind will soon have the fire contained.

Doesn't feel that hot here now, was this morning. In fact about an hour and a half ago I hung out the washing and it must have been over 40. Pool is about 35 degrees though and I haven't had the solar on. Like a bath. Just Did 50 min on the cross trainer/indoor bike (WPT your nuts! I was going to ride outdoor early this morning, but it was burning hot and windy) jumped in the pool, gees I need a cold shower!

I feel sorry for those who don't have air conditioning on these sweltering days.

I never had it growing up and the unit I'm in now is the first to have a split system a/c within it.

Whilst in my previous unit which was on the second storey complete with a flat tin roof I got to the stage of buying a portable a/c unit sick of suffering through hot summer days.

Not as good naturally as split systems with cooling and noisier but it was better than relying on fans and praying for a cooling breeze.

The best way to sleep in front of those fans blowing hot air was to cover yourself with a wet sheet!! Used to work a bloody treat until the sheet dried and you had to repeat the process a few times during the night!!! But at least you were able to get some sleep.
