Rendell recruited Dangerfield to Adelaide.

He's the perfect replacement for the aging Swan.

Offer him a truck load next year to see where his head is at.

Who knows the AFL might announce the removal of free agency compensation next year, the circumstances change and he could be in black'n'white in 2015.

One can dream.

Nice to see that 2 of our 3 have signed-on.

Just waiting on Reid to sign the dotted line.

I would laugh if we poached someone like Marc Murphy from Carlton. Mick and co at Carlton will be horrified if it played out this way but I can't see it happening.

Won't happen. But yeah, would be funny though. Might have to perform a special live cross to TankingCarlscum.com for the lolsies if it did happen though... Wink Twisted Evil

If anyone can be prised out of that place, I would think Gibbs would be it. Despite his softness, he would be a good option on the half back flank, giving us a good user down there. The fact that it would be one in the eye for the old man and the Scum would be the icing on the cake... Twisted Evil

Nooooo. Not Gibbs. Mitch Robinson at least barracked for us but not even him. And we sent ourselves broke with the tit for tat poaching with Richmond in the 80s.

If we get into another recruiting war with the scum like we did with Richmond in the 80's, there will be no winners. That was a disaster.
Just try to get any available players that will fill a need for us, but definitely not particularly from the scum.

I don't care where a player comes from, if he fits a need, then we buy him. And quality use off the half back flank is an area of particular need for us. If the player in question just happens to play for the Scum, then so be it.

Tigers looking to buy someone: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-06-09/tigers-go-to-market

Quote:
The biggest names left in this year's free agency market are Melbourne defender James Frawley and Fremantle midfielder David Mundy, with Carlton midfielder Bryce Gibbs understood to be close to re-signing with the Blues.

Of course, the Tigers could also try to trade for out-of-contract players such as Dockers star Nat Fyfe, Greater Western Sydney youngsters Jono O'Rourke, Kristian Jaksch and Lachie Plowman, or West Coast midfielder Andrew Gaff.

If they ultimately decide to hold off until next year, the Tigers will be able to target 2015 free agents such as Adelaide's Patrick Dangerfield, St Kilda's Jack Steven, Geelong's Tom Hawkins and West Coast's Scott Selwood.

Malceski and Boyd would be fkn fantastic inclusions. Are we any chance to nab one of them?

Polkinghorn hey? Can get the pill and kick a goal. Hawks would go for him you'd think. Had shit ankle problems I think?

Got to wonder why they simply delisted him. I know he wanted back to Vic, but surly they'd try to get something for him. (Ie Karnezis).

There really are no "big fish" in the latest list of free agents, are there?
