Look out Western Sydney if Shaw & Didak are reunited , with half of the brat pack to add some mongrel to the Giants

Quote:

Collingwood's former premiership star Alan Didak has emerged as a potential surprise recruit for Greater Western Sydney, which met with the forward over the weekend and is considering signing him as a delisted free agent.

Didak met with with Giants coach Leon Cameron and their football operations chief Graeme Allan on Sunday and has completed a medical at the club, which can sign him as a delisted free agent before Monday's 2pm deadline.

Goodluck to dids, but we don't need him, he and shaw in the same side spells trouble really, we delisted them both for a reason, both have been great players but are ratbags, brats, and im not sure them reuniting will be good for the kids at greater waste of space, really. Confused Rolling Eyes

Didak is a champ, but he will no longer be a threat to us when we play them. All the best to him.

We didn't delist either of them.

One's contract wasn't renewed and the other was traded.

Confused Umm, I think if your contract is not renewed, that's more or less delisting, and trade means we no longer require your services. We off loaded them for a reason, a very valid reason.

Sucks for him, I was really hoping he would be picked up. My guess is the cost of moving his family over to Sydney wasn't worth the money they were offering him.

GWS tweeted that they despite media speculation they would not be recruiting him. I doubt he was ever in their plans.

Shame for Dids. Will remember him as a great, but the end comes for all.

Guess it justifies Buckley's call since no one else was prepared to throw him a lifeline.

I am actually happy with this result. Did will forever be a Collingwood player and someone who has never played against us. That'll become far less common with free agency so we may as well savour it while it lasts.
