We have a habit of recruiting players with ordinary foot skills.

I agree!

However, with Bucks being the 'inventor' of the kicking test in the combine, I'd be staggered if he went with one dimensional players.

Tom Langdon is notorious for turning it over in fact.

Bucks will sort him out

And Marsh is capable of over 60m by foot but is also prone to shanking it.

Even Freeman's kicking is well below elite.

It is a skill, it can be learned, and if there ever was a guy to teach it it is Nathan Buckley

That's usually easier said than done. We have tried that with several players now with very ordinary results. Maybe its about time we learnt from that.

AND IT ALL STARTS AGAIN . . .

. . . With an AIS-AFL Academy camp on the Gold Coast for the rest of the weekend. The early word for next year's group is that it will include a lot of talented talls. Remember these names: Hugh Goddard, Patrick McCartin and Peter Wright, with Christian Petracca and Jake Lever another couple to look out for early next year.

You are probably right. In which case we'll have wasted pick 65. I'll get over it

From all the reports I've read Langdon is meant to be an excellent kick.
