I'm a big fan of The Cure, but this is... interesting.

In fairness, they were only about 18 at the time. But there was probably some activity in Jimi's grave as a result of this. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

31 seconds to 39 seconds - just breathtaking! Thanks, wpt. I used to love the Sinfonia back in the day but I haven't heard them for years.
This album could really do with the "super deluxe" treatment - two extra CDs of out-takes and false starts from those sessions would make my day. |

Thanks David, The Cure wearing the Emperor's New Clothes. I was sorry there was no guitar solo, though.
Just quietly, I think MM might be leading the way with THAT list. |

More from the Portsmouth Sinfonia - if you don't get a laugh out of this 1m and 31s cover of Richard Strauss, you're dead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6piDRKOwh88
Nothing quite beats a fluffed note on the trumpet, except an entire fluffed brass section. |

Magnificent, P4S. I am in tears.
Of course, for those who haven't heard of them, we're not laughing at them so much as laughing with them.

Should have taken her out and shot her for that. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

I thought of sending this to my mother, who adores Strauss and turns 80 in a few weeks. But then I decided I didn't really need the money and, all things considered, I'd rather she lived on for a few more years. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Madonna's - American Pie and Miley Cyrus - Smells Like Teen Spirit? I haven't heard enough about it to have an opinion. |

Wokko mentioned Madonna's heroics earlier in the thread:
Miley Cyrus is a good call - I was actually thinking about posting a link to her effort but I thought that might be a little too much like shooting fish in a barrel. Anyway, here it is, sung live in Melbourne: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HCgNzYhwnE
This is so notorious, it even has its own "Hitler rant", which some of you may enjoy (parental discretion advised): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7RjPtJGjG8 |

No need to take her anywhere, just shoot her on the spot. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
