I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

Garlett to go top 10 in this draft? You have to be kidding? No team will do that. Least of all one that's trying to improve the culture of the place. Forget about him. Concentrate on guys who may get to our club. Unless he lasts to pick 65 then no chance he will be a pie. Even then our guys may pass on him.

Can someone tell me if Dwyer is already on our list, or if he is still just a rookie? If he's still a rookie, wouldn't the club use pick 65 to promote Dwyer onto our list? Cheers

Dwyer was recently promoted to the Senior list the other week, and will be wearing #2 on his guernsey.

I want him at 10. The problem is I want 4 other player at 10 as well & I don't want other teams to have him!

Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Like many have already said, I wouldn't spend pick 10 on him. 65 yes, but would he be there that late? Probably not.

If he wanted to get to Collingwood, and Collingwood really, really, wanted him in return, then we would have made it happen somehow.

Get him to go out on a bender and get found by Hutchy passed out at Crown then pick him at 65.

If he goes to us and so much as farts the media will be all over it and comparing it to the past. Let some other club worry about it.Ilike hoods, but cheap punks are another story.

You know what, that would probably work. Lol a club endorsed and funded binge with hookers and donkeys and anything else .....All it would need is a media tip off.

If Sam Landsberger is right, then Garlett might get passed over completely for a second time...

Believe Dayle Garlett missed an interview with Hawthorn in Sep. Major blow to his draft chances. North Melbourne no chance, don't trust him.

Barring extraordinary circumstances outside of your control, if you can't find a way to get to an interview with the team you barrack for, who are probably the only club willing to take a punt on you, then what hope have you got?

^For pick 65 or rookie selection he's worth the risk IMO.

Might be a bit of bs going around from Hawthorn and roos to try and snag him at a later pick than he was expected to go.

Or Garlett has decided he wants to come to play with us? Nothing like reinforcing the image he already has to put all potential suitors off his scent! With his track record, there's nothing extraordinary about Garlett missing interviews with Power and Hawks. If anyone else takes him, watch him stuff up big time, be delisted, and snapped up for nicks by us next year!
Still, could he still be there at 65? Ya never know!!
Pleeeeeaaaaaaase let it happen!

Garlett is a massive Hawks fan. Doubt he would sabotage his chances with them to go to a club he has most likely hated growing up.

Apparently we have been keeping close contact with him, so maybe real relationships might trump a childhood interstate fanaticism?
Haven't ever known a player of this modern era to prioritise who he barracks for over fair dinkum interest from an AFL club, have you?
Why did Thomas go to Carlton? Because of his relationship with Mick.
Who someone barracked for as a kid is irrelevant.
