We will be paying a percentage of Shaw's income for two years. That's the sugar that got GWS to agree.

^ Really? Not a fan of that. After all, they wanted to pay him a shiteload, why should we have to foot some of the bill?

Bingo. I was thinking last night how else the Pies could sweeten the deal without additional players or picks.

We can afford it due to the money savings with departures.

^ I am absolutely stoked to have Taylor on board, but not really understanding why we should pay some of Shaw's salary. Did we run out of later draft picks to sweeten the deal?

Can anyone shed any more light on what that means for our salary cap over the next two years?

TBH I didn't even know that could be done.

We are not paying his whole wage we are paying a % believed to be 100k a year (x 2). It's peanuts.

I think that's strange as well^.Not sure if I like that part of the deal. Will it hamper our ability to pick up a free agent next year,if there's someone we want?

The new streamlined Luke Ball, with pace to burn. Great news, this easy makes up for sook Thomas now. !

It's been done before, I remember Carlton were paying a large % of Fevs wage at the Lions.

Melb paid part of "Woe is me" wage when he came to us.

We got Adams with minimal effort. It's a win win for both clubs.
