Post subject: Libs: How many lies & backflips?Reply with quote

Given the sheer volume of changes, lies & backflips we've already had, we need to keep a list indeed a record of Lib lies & lib deceit:

Feel free to add:

1. Turn the boats back. Not happening. (never was going to happen)
2. Open & transparent government. See access to media by The mad monk & the refugee issue weekly announcements.
3. Economic crisis - in opposition there was, in government the next day there isn't any crisis
4. Budget crisis - in opposition there was, in government the next day there isn't any crisis
5. Insult the Malaysian government in opposition, apologise & grovel to Malaysia when in Government
6. Misogynist & sexist while in opposition & well I suppose not too much has changed here
7. Slam the former government's New Guinea idea to deter asylum seekers when in opposition then claim this is the single biggest reason for a change in the last week
8. Slam the former Government working with Indonesia to cease giving Iranian asylum seekers automatic visas then claim success here.
9. Deny any animal rights & animal welfare issues with respect to the export of live cattle to Indonesia.

Brilliant & accurate: Thanks partypie.

Now The Mad Misogynist Miners Media Monopoly's Mate George W Abbott is performing a backflip on Education.

Before the election they were supporting The Education funding they promised they ere committed to before the election. Now not so. Backflip - you betchya, lies you betchya, election promise broken - you betchya.

Prime Minster Gillard was 100% correct in spelling this out pre election the MMMMM would lie about this.

Liars, cheats & hypocrites.

1. Stop the boats was the catchcry, and they are, albeit due to the PNG plan that 'compassionate' Labor put in place. They turned back a few of the boats that left but Indonesia only took back half of those, there was some wrangling about rescue zones etc.

2. A Problem worldwide and across party lines, but yeah the Libs have apparently picked up on the St Kilda 'bubble'.

3. Again, this isn't based on ideology this is just govt/opposition. If the government wants to cut they blame the previous government, if they want to spend they trumpet themselves.

4. Well they're wanting 500b available for deficit spending, so there would be a crisis if you base it on Costello/Howard thinking. Not so much if you subscribe to other viewpoints.

5. Don't know what happened with Malaysia, although it'd take a bit to trump Keating's 'recalcitrant' comments. Laughing

6. Nonsense, don't fall for that feminist bullshit. If Abbott is a misogynist then Gillard + Labor's women were equally misandrist. Nobody bought what they were selling then, stop trying to onsell it now if you happened to get sucked in.

7. Abbott backed the PNG solution, otherwise it wouldn't have got through the Senate, the Greens wouldn't back it.

8. Also don't remember the Libs being against this.

9. Both sides culpable of this, our beef industry relies on these exports and neither side wants to be an enemy of the country/farmers. Religious slaughtering practices are barbaric and cruel and we shouldn't support them for money.

Yeah, right, duh .....

So how many women did you say there were in Abbott's cabinet again?

Never have we seen such unmistakable and unambiguous evidence of no progress whatsoever. Get back into the kitchen you sluts, Mr Abbott needs your domestic services in the proper place. Cabinet is reserved for proper men, no girls allowed.

Wokko & David do have a bit in common: a surprisingly disproportionate reaction to feminism. Is this a pattern? Same age cohort?

What an absolute ars*hole the poodle Pyne is. Not even prepared to meet with the Gonski board to be briefed. Still playing partisan politics of the nasty kind.

http://www.theage.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/education-minister-christopher-pyne-breaks-prepoll-promise-on-school-funding-20131126-2y6mz.html

Can someone please tell these knobs they are in power, they are now the Government. We expect some mistakes but Pynes behaviour is simply that of a nasty little prat not a Minster of the Government of Australia.

And there was the Liberal outcry about the waste of money securing a seat on the UN Security Council.

The Fin' Review 24 SEP 2012.
~~~
Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has argued Julia Gillard should be in Jakarta right now discussing asylum seekers with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono despite the fact Mr Yudhoyono, like the PM, is in New York.
Treasurer Wayne Swan criticised the comments as yet another example of reckless negativity from the leader of the opposition in complete defiance of the facts and common sense.
Ms Gillard is in New York for four days to address the General Assembly for the first time, and to lead the lobbying effort for Australia to gain a temporary seat on the UN Security Council in 2013-14.
But Mr Abbott was heavily critical of the bid on Monday and linked it with Labors border protection failures, telling radio station 2GB that our Prime Minister should not be swanning around in New York talking to Africans, she should be in Jakarta, right now, trying to sort out the border protection disaster
Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
TONY ABBOTT (2012): Radio National.
It's just a two-year term, what we won today, at the cost of many, many tens of millions of dollars and some dislocation of our ordinary diplomatic efforts...
Julie Bishop...
"I'll be very honoured to represent Australia on the world stage chairing the UN Security Council. There are some very important issues to discuss and debate and I hope that Australia will continue to serve the UN Security Council with distinction.
That is a beauty of a paragraph.
Fulminate with the unwashed on his radio shock jocks programme - despite the ignorance of not knowing SBY was in New York with Prime Minister Gillard.
George W Abbott alright. More & more we can see some similarities that PTID pointed out some time ago. Unfortunately through cheating George W got in for a second coming.
Now the lying, cheating & hypocrisy is happening barely 11 weeks in Government.
You've got to hand it to him he was an effective opposition leader. I think he should return very quickly to a job he is good at. His talent is wasted as leader of the Government.
