Lots of positives, Thomas & Williams in particular. Seedsman started well. Kennedy's best game. Shaw was fantastic. Grundy held his own. Sidebottom was good although I wish he'd stop providing a link out of defense and then stopping, needs to move the ball on more quickly.
On the negative side, still wasting a lot of opportunity. Turnovers will kill us against the top sides. Just not fluent, lot of times there was 2 players going for the same ball and stuffing it up. Have to expect some of that with so many young inexperienced players in the team.

| Great first quarter then put the cue in the rack for the last 3. The 4th quarter was awful and uninspiring and not the sort of game you should be serving up this close to the finals. Had the chance to really put them to bed but didn't. Just did what we needed to do in the end. Still continue to butcher the ball, over handball, use poor judgement and why do we kick sideways and over handball when we have the likes of cloke and reid in the forward line who can swallow the ball. On a positive note it was great to see dids back. Love how he got the standing ovation for his goal, wasn't impressed by pies fans booing wellingham. He didn't have a great game but didn't deserve to be booed either. Dids deserves a spot in the starting 22 next week. JT played really well as did the usual suspects. |

We kept West Coast to there lowest ever score at the MCG and had our best ever first quarter against them tonight.
It was effectively a training run after our first quarter burst.
Williams and Thomas were great and Seedsman did his chances of playing finals no harm.
