Elliott For Captain

As we now agree Maxwell cannot Captain beyond 2013, it is time to seriously think who could replace him that has the guts, skills, lead by example, hunger for success, take no prisoners style, that we are desperately looking for beyond this season.

Yes I know many will be agasp at the thought of a young kid getting the top job, but when you are desperately needing to rebuild a side around new youth, then I can think of a player no better the Elliott.

Yes indeed it maybe a risk, but hey, those who take risks are moreover rewarded with a bigger prize than those who shy away at big bold decisions.

I was inspired to write this post after watching this young bloke again last night not flinching once in front of goal under pressure. He is a reliable and consistent performer unlike some players who shall remain unnamed when faced with a set shot in front of goal.

Elliott has my vote. Perhaps a motion at the AGM may bring about this change.

Jordan Russell should take over the role. Who knows what this kid is capable of with a bit of confidence, and the captaincy would give him that.

Hiss, I love the young kid, but my choice would be Swan, he has guts to burn, and endless courage, never stops running and trying, a born leader. Pendles would be a great Captain too, Elliott is a leader down the track a bit.
