Nah, just take the cover off the rangehood, turn it on, turn on the hot plate and give the pipe a rattle.
Minced possum patties.

A group of the buggers were having a committee meeting out on the back deck this morning, trying to figure out a way back into the roof I guess.

Found another one nesting in the BBQ rangehood chimney this arvo when I got home from work early. Bastard of a thing.
The good news is that the roof repairs I did seem to be keeping them out of getting in the roof, the bad news is the bastards are hell bent on finding somewhere to sleep.
So, against my natural instincts, I spoke to the unemployed son, gave him $20 to buy some MDF and told him to build me some possum boxes to hang in the trees. If I can't exterminate the bastards, giving them a reasonable alternative for accommodation other than my roof is worth trying.

No, but definitely little leather booties for the back legs, those claws are sharp. 
Anyway, bought 2 Brushtail possum boxes from Latrobe Wildlife sanctuary this morning and just put em up in trees in the front yard, where the power line comes through to go to the house.
So vacant property right there next to the main thoroughfare, move in, rent free, just stay the **** out of my roof.
