Saints lost
.. and we beat the Bombers by 79 points.
I'm happy. _________________ Donny.

What a mighty effort. Keefe coming back has released Reid to go up front and divert attention from Cloke. Reg in the ruck is looking like a winner and even the Q Tip put in a good effort today. Well done Pies but another top effort will be required against the Swans |

Welcome back Collingwood, oh how I have missed you.
Intent and attitude spot on tonight from the very beginning.
I thought the weather was a blessing in disguise for us. Kicks 255 H/B 143 compared to them 182 - 173. How much better did we look Kicking the ball from half back instead of handballing coupled with the intense pressure and you have the old Collingwood.

Well what can I say?
Finally we played 4 quarters!
I've been to 3 games this year - Geelong, Melbourne and Essendon. 2 of those games I went to the game relatively sure we'd lose and was over the moon to be wrong.
Therefore since I'm on a 100% winning streak, if we by some chance make it to the GF, I gotta get myself a ticket at all costs! |

Keefe and Reid as key backs - tick
Cloke with Reid and Lynch as 3rd option - tick
Goldsack as an option either end tall or mid - tick
Marley and Sinkers as hard at it backs - tick
Harry with dash - tick
Ball in an under with spread from Swanny, Pendles and Beams - tick
Best 4 quarter effort, plenty of pressure and took our chances. Like it when this team turns up. Nice to get some continuity into Sack, Keefe, Ball etc. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Bloody good win by the boys. Was most impressed by O'Brien and Sidey and a well done to Brodie Grundy.
I like the look of this kid. That was our best game for the year.
Beams getting back to his best.
Good confidence booster considering the games we have coming up.
Cheers

The CFC rollercoaster ride continues! I seriously cannot read this team anymore. Next week what will we get?
We played footy the way it needs to be played today. The fact that the Bombers were as flat and disinterested as the Hawks were yesterday helped our cause but our aggression at the ball and opponent all day was fantastic and our commitment could not be questioned. We played hard honest footy and that is all we ask isn't it? Have a red hot crack and see what happens!
Great win, Lads! Cheers! _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

Yes our intensity was up tonight but the fact we had probably the best group of 21 (leaving JT out as he was the sub) made a massive difference.
Even if everyone was fit I reckon only Toovey, Daisy and maybe Young would get a game in that side tonight, even Fasolo and Jolly are no certainties anymore.
We will give the Swans and Hawks a good old shake now, and we are the one team no one wants to play in an elimination final in week 1.
Great win tonight, so happy. |

One of the first things I noticed also.
A first for a while having more kicks than handbills, not sure where it came from but it worked _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

Who'd have thought it.
Bloody all of us.
Keeffe and Brown being able to hold down kp defensive posts is a key from here on out. |
