2012 is looking like champagne footy compared to 2013. I hated our decline last year, right now I'd take it back in a heart beat. |
Said exactly the same thing to my missus late in the last quarter. And we can't just say it is injuries. We had just as many serious ones last season. Selection is a big issue. Why you wouldn't be playing Didak if you think you have a chance to play finals footy just astounds me. |
I watched Did's in the twos and he was average. Even his beautiful foot skills were a bit off.
I was a big believer in him but sadly I think his time has past now but he does deserve another game or two at senior level as thanks for services rendered. |

What a player, is quick does everything and you can play him as a lone forward! wouldn't you like him in black and white stripes!! |
Would love it. The tragedy is he grew up as a pies supporter |
Throw the sink at him then; anything they like for him, open slather, no trade off the table |
If Sidebottom ever does another blind, look away handball then he should be automatically thrown up as trade bait to GWS.
He's cost us a number of goals pulling that smart arse move and he needs to know that that garbage isn't acceptable any more.
If it helped us to make a play for Cameron then why not? |

That's all I can be bothered writing at the moment. 3 quarters of incredibly frustrating football. |
We might need both of them if Reid doesn't play.
If we drop a tall, it should be Keefe - who looks as if he needs a bit more time. |

Wat?
Keeffe was the reason Cameron didn't kick 15... He absolutely murdered Brown.
And I'd sooner play Paine as a second forward than have Witts, Grundy and Hudson/Jolly in the same side. |

Good last quarter but sheez, I haven't seen anything in the past fortnight that gives me confidence heading into next week. We are a shadow _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Keefe is doing brilliantly coming off a knee injury. Grundy shows signs so that was good news. Really average performance in the first half, I expected a big lift after last week.
Happy to get the points and move on. |

To the coaching staff, I lay full blame at your feet. We are getting opened up out the back like a can of baked beans, now even the worst team in the comp is exposing us. I fear what the next 3 weeks will look like. Might rent A Nightmare on Elm Street Parts 1, 2 & 3 to warm me up.

Yes, we've been opened up in the back, but we are also being absolutely punished for our turnovers in the forward 50, from where teams are entering our 50.
Buckley could do worse than creating/re-establish our erstwhile hallmark.
Also agree with the earlier post that said Swan saved us from publicly soiling our pants. Although he was missing for a bit in Q2 - he was clearly our best. Beams keeps improving and is a pleasure to watch. |

We have a talented list that doesn't seem to be able to play whatever game style it is that we are trying to play. The blue print for playing against us seems to be the same week in & week out, yet nothing seems to be done to counter it.
Play a spare man back to help on Cloke. We allow it & use Maxwell as ours.
Maxwell does not help his defenders when playing this role. Cameron had one on ones with Brown or Keefe all night with a paddock to run into. No help at any stage from our skipper.
Circle us at the stoppages creating many loose players on the outside.
Kick to the unmanned team mate while the pies play their zone.
Here is a tip Bucks. In order to get the footy off the opposition you have to make a contest. Even GWS were playing man on man every time we had the ball. But not us. We persist with a zone that has proved to be able to be sliced apart. Please just make the opposition kick to a contest. The best place to defend is in our forward half. You can't lock it in playing a crap zone. |

Sidey made one very bad error but I thought while we were well just plain shit in 1-2 he was our only shining light in the midfield, harry played himself in but was like most... woeful early.
Is there not someone at the club that can find a plan to stop teams exploiting our in accuracy and waltzing out of our backline when a behind is scored???? |

They'd never buy it. Like O'Meara at the Suns, Cameron is THE franchise player for the future of GWS. You just don't ever trade franchise players.
But yes, I'd love to have Cameron at Collingwood. |

Got the 4 points. Pleased with Grundy and Witts.
Really missed Ball in the clearances. What was wrong with him? Got to the game and noticed Kennedy was in. |

Didn't see a second of it.
Great decision by me.
What a piss poor performance that must have been.
I see by some reports Maxwell did the square root of jack once again.
If true drop him and send a clear message that no player is indispensable.
