Chipper Adkins

Hey, sorry to intrude, I'm a West Coast supporter, and I was wondering, could someone enlighten me as to why the heck Damien Adkins was called 'Chipper' when he was at the Pies??

I have absolutely no idea - I often wondered this myself...the girls in chicks channel may be able to help you though.

I thought it was either cos he looked like a chipmunk or he used a lot of little chip kicks - either could be true.

Adkins is called Chipper because Danny” Spud “ Frawley (Bitchmond Coach, ex assistant Coach at Collingwood) – Danny nickname has always been SPUD, due to the fact the country town which he come from are large producers of SPUD. When Collingwood drafted Adkins, he was also from the same country town, Adkins nickname was also SPUD, It was decided that Chipper (little Spud) would be the ideal nickname for Adkins

I thought that Spud, (Frawley) was from Ballarat -Didn't he live out near like Kryal Kastle where the spud farms are

Thorpdale is the potatoe centre of the universe. it's about 15 minutes north of leongatha. it's no where near ballarat. I hav eno idea where they're from.
