I reckon that was another good performance by a team full of kids, not just 1 or 2, half a frickin team full. With that many kids in the team its to be expected we'll drop off as the game goes on, but we still won comfortably.

No team in the comp has been able to play this many kids, and rookies at that, and been able to perform as well as we have this year.
Give it a break ya haters, bad selection, coach no good, wheres Didak, to many midgets, go fu#k off and barrack for someone else ya pack of bitches.

My Thoughts:

* 1st Half Awsome but 2nd Half Not Good Enough
* Cloke Kicked Straight
* Heater BOG by a Country Mile
* J Thomas was good but Kicks can Improve
* Kennedy was Lively
* Umpires where Bad in 2nd Half
* Harry was Hot and Cold
* Did not really see much of Lynch
* Sinclair had no Impact again

Sinclair kept Dollhouse goal-less and had the best disposal efficiency on the ground.

Sinclair & Lynch are useless as tits on bulls.

BIG, BIG mistake getting Lynch!
However, I'm willing to give Sinclair the benefit of doubt at this point, as he still has youth on his side.
Lynch on the other hand, needs to go!

No injuries & a win, all you can ask for really going into the bye.

Bloody oath!! Played quite well.

Ben Kennedy was alright, but saying he was lively with 15 disposals and a goal and then saying Sinclair had no impact while picking up 12 disposals and 6 tackles is ridiculous

Yeah I thought Kennedy and Dwyer had very scratchy games but both had legitimate excuses, apparently Ben has lost someone close to him a couple of days ago and Sammy was very rusty after a two weeks lay off.

This is unacceptable?

Great first half, lousy second half. It was like 2 different teams were playing a half each. Very frustrating to watch.

Still reckon people are a bit harsh on Lynch

Yes he isn't offer much in the way of goals (Same effectiveness as Dawes last year) but he is offering more disposals, more marks and more hitouts than Dawes did last year so we have gained something from this selection, an improvement on the player he replaced.

With Witts not ready we cant play a genuine 2nd ruckman because we would lose out too much around the ground, Lynch offers us a decent effort in the ruck and a marking option around the ground, maybe we are expecting too much for that player to also be kicking bags every week as well?

Well I am not happy with this win for the following reasons:

1. Gave away a chance to get a sensational percentage which we so desperately need

2. No evidence of counter defensive game plan.

3. Coach kept laughing when we missed tackling opportunities.

4. Too many young small players in the side. Cannot work out why we are not developing more big tough physical tall types to take on the thuggish Hawks and Cats strongman who like to break jaws of other players.

5. We still need to seriously start destroying much weaker teams to prove we are a class above the rest below us. Otherwise we see these sides as a training run.

6. We needed to start playing a four quarter game to which we did not today showing a lack of commitment to the real need to start respecting this is a competition where there are really competitive sides above us.

7. Umpires being used as excuses is puerile. We know they are crap. Get over it.

8. Not happy with the lack of respect shown towards long suffering pies fans after the game by some players ignoring them.

The singing of the song after the game was woeful, basically just spoke the words. Shocking example set for the young fellas, they should be belting it out.

Looking ahead, Ball, Dids, Krak are ready to go after the bye. Young & Keeffe are back, although I think that there are a couple of injuries to other VFL players from today and Clarke. Beams should return to footy after the bye and Goldsack could be another 3 - 4 weeks. If we can keep the players on the park I think that we can replace some of the 1st and 2nd year players who are struggling a bit with the demands of playing afl. If we can win our next 3 (esp against the Blues) it will set up our season for a shot at 5th and a home final.

My 18 year old boy said he couldn’t get too happy about beating the dogs cos it’s like being happy about beating a disabled person!
Heater great game
Swan great game
Trav’s 5 goals were nice – the two from the boundary were awesome.
Trav’s great shepherd was a joy to behold!
Loved seeing Marley on Dahlhaus. Thought Sincs had a reasonable game but couldn’t understand why they took Marley off Dahlhaus and put Sincs on him! Dahlhouse looks the only Dogs player with any level of skill.
I didn’t think selection was all that bad.
Defence looked rock solid in the first half.
The forward line looks dysfunctional, have to agree with that.
I thought Macaffer had a bad game.
Game lacked atmosphere which was to be expected. If it wasn’t for the umpires spicing things up with their circus act, it would have been even more of a dud game.
But umpiring overall good I thought. Less free kicks paid (10/8 in our favour) always means better footy IMO. Only a couple of questionable decisions and it looked like they were going to start reviewing EVERY Collingwood goal! One dropping the ball decision looked to be done out of spite just to tick us off Very Happy

We still have time to get our crap together. I’m not giving up on 2013.

I figure if we lose two games between now and then end of the season, we’ll miss out on Top 4. Only lose 1 and we can make it.

I know we don’t have the slick poise of 2010 but win enough games and fire at the pointy end of the season and anything is possible.

Keep the faith Cool
