Good to see the list is shrinking. My only fear is how many weeks can hudson be expected to come up in a row if Jolly misses the next 6-7 games. three in a row is manageable. Not sure how he will be travelling after 5 straight games.

Jack Frost Knee 1-2 weeks
Alan Didak Calf 1-2 weeks
Ben Johnson Calf 1-2 weeks
Darren Jolly Toe 3-5 weeks
Quinten Lynch Back TBA
Harry O'Brien Ankle TBA

Alex Fasolo Foot Indefinite
Dale Thomas Ankle Indefinite
Michael Hartley Shoulder Season
Alan Toovey Knee Season

Hudson will need to be rested here and there as well.

As such, expect to see Grundy in the near future. I would suggest that Grundy may find himself debuting as early as the Gold Coast game Saturday week.

With the as-yet unplayed Beams a lock for our senior side and an also yet-to-play this year Keeffe likely to return soon, a Grundy debut would make him the 40th player to be used in the seniors this season... Shocked

Even GWS hasn't used that many blokes in 2013...

My tip is a Witts/Grundy combo in the GWS game. GC are becoming too competitive to have two novice big men in the side imo.

^ I was going to say almost the same thing. I was thinking that Gold Coast are now too good to take chances with, and looking at Hudson + Witts v Adelaide and Gold Coast, then Witts + Grundy v GWS.

Grundy = 40
Broomhead = 41

Both big chances to play this year. Amazing stuff! DTM must be walking round with a full-time hard-on - his youngsters are all getting a run.

EDIT: I type too slow. Stupied beat me to it.

The list is shrinking? It hasn't gone below 10 for most of the year, every time someone comes off another goes on. The weeks are reducing but Dids, Johnno and the Sack for that matter have been listed throughout as 1-2 weeks. Sack hasn't played since round 6!

It is a good time for Jolly to be out and a very good move to recruit Hudson.

As indicated by others - the Giants game might see Grundy join Witts, which would give Hudson a week off with a sore back...

Although Lynch is also likely to be fit by then I would rather see Keefe given a go down back and Reid stay up forward for the next month.

The Sack returned to the VFL last Saturday so at least he's back playing. Just needs to get his fitness levels up.

Might not be a bad idea to give Grundy a run as the "guy to be subbed at halftime" just give him a feel of seniors footy in case we need him latter in the season. But i agree with the main theme of this thread ...our injury list is at last (touch wood everyone please) in a manageable state...though i am going to make a big call that i think Dids and Ben J might not been seen again in Collingewood seniors....and i can back this up with logic Marley Williams has taken Ben J's spot. and can someone seriously tell me who we would drop for Dids?

Just watched the replay of Grundy's 2 goals in the VFL....WOW this guy can play. Not quite sure how to fit him in but it would be a great opportunity to play him at Carrara next week. He looks completely different to Witts, very mobile once the ball hits the ground. With Hudson playing so well and Witts and Grundy on the way up we really don't seem to be missing Jolly that much.

I could see Dids coming in for just about anyone, if he is in form.

We're talking Dids here people.
