+1. How come it's OK (Milne) only one week after it's not (Cloke). Seems it's not just the tribunal that's inconsistent. |
I saw it during the game, haven't yet seen the replay but my impression was that she was probably more barracking for her team (the poster, etc) to put him off, than attacking Milne. The Tiger fans were clearly spouting hate at Cloke. Depends on what she said, but it had a very different look, to me.

yes, the poor lady was misunderstood. When most of us clearly saw her call Milne a "wanker", what she was actually saying was "Go Maggies!"

She assisted in him missing, so as long as the abuse wasn't too bad (which it seems it wasn't) she's done a great job and should be applauded.
I noted on ANZAC day that the Essendon crowd as a whole had a massive effect on the umpires in that they actually put pressure on the umpire to pay some free kicks, and they did.
It's been a long time (probably 2011) since we've made, as a collective, enough noise to influence a game, quite simply most of our fans have gone soft.
I applaud her for having a positive effect on the game. |

This is just part of the fun. There's no double standard. I loved watching the Richmond ferals try and put Cloke off - especially cos it didn't work! haha
Our women are tough - she's a Celtic Warrior. In times gone past she would have fought along side the men to chase the marauders off our patch!
