I kind of miss the days when you could arrive and hit the bed head.

Don't miss the clean up though.

As Americans like to remind us, guns don't kill people, bad guys with guns kill people. If only this girl had been a "law-abiding citizen".

Touch David!

The instructor got what he deserves, fancy putting an Uzi in the hands of a 9 year old.

Poor kid must be very traumatised.

Hey, I wouldn't go that far! Monumentally stupid, but no less so than the parents who permitted it, or the entire culture, for that matter. It's completely nuts, but kids are put in these situations all the time over there.

Anyway, I'm sure there are much worse things you can do without deserving to be shot in the face...

Putting an Uzi in the hands of a 9 year old in a controlled environment wasn't what the instructor did wrong.

Putting himself in a very vulnerable position the way he stood beside her was where he stuffed up.

I gave my kids a go with a .22 and a 20 gauge shotgun when they were around that age, in a controlled environment. If the kids are going to potentially have access to guns it's important they understand that they aren't toys and how to handle, and use, them safely.
