Actually, Tannin, my understanding is that a volcano is not considered extinct until it has gone 20,000 years without an eruption. So Mt Gambier, Tower Hill and some of the others in South West Victoria are considered dormant rather than extinct. The Gunditjmara (the indigenous tribe around Warrnabool and Portland) are supposed to have dreamtime stories that describe the eruption of Tower Hill.

The current Ford Fiesta ad with the girl rambling on about driving in her wedges and how her dad said she cannot drive in those.... When she mentions how she got her pink runners, the camera shows her feet, and the runners are black with orange shoe laces.
