The old girl does my head in some times. It's been a lot better than I expected having her living with me but she still has her moments.

She likes her 3 veg with the protein for dinner. I do the cooking but I tell her if she wants veges, go for it.

So she goes out and gets some veges ready to cook earlier. Then about 8 she asks me "did you just go and put the sweet potatoes on?

Me. Ehh, no. I went and fed the dog and went to the toilet. Why? Are you getting hungry?

Her. No. I just thought you might have put them on.

Me. If you're getting hungry, I'll go put them on.

No. I'm not getting hungry.

Me. So why the **** would I put them on? They don't take long.

Her. All right, don't pick, put them on when you're ready.

Me. How bout you tell me if you're starting to get hungry and I'll put them on.

Her. OK.

(2 minutes later) Her. I'm getting hungry.

So I go and put the vegetables on. FFS. Confused Rolling Eyes Laughing

Did any of you guys watch this when you were at school?

https://vimeo.com/65880384

It's pretty weird. And clearly the fact that I'm watching it at 4 AM is a sign that I should be in bed. Laughing

That poor bath duck!

I don't think kids that age need that info, I didn't see the movie, but I vaguely remember the book with the kids were little.
Yes get some sleep!

What age is it pitched at? Clearly primary school, but the narrator's tone makes it sound like he's talking to a group of 4-year-olds. Surprised

Still, it seems like a good way of explaining some of this stuff.

Nah, you've got a kid so you're doing it right.

If you want to get fancy, just play Twister.

I went in to town this morning and saw a woman with her son who was pushing his stroller. Um, if you're pushing your own stroller perhaps you don't need it....

Question

MM

Haha. Ingmar does that sometimes, and he's only 18 months old! Basically he's at a stage where he still needs the pram if we're out for more than 15 minutes at a time (he's only just started walking so doesn't have a great deal of endurance), but will sometimes want to get out and walk next to me and even help me push the pram (the nappy bag hangs down from the handles so he holds on to that).

It's kind of adorable, but I'm sure we get a few funny looks. Though not as many as that time we went out for a walk without the pram and found an abandoned shopping trolley. I think I'm possibly Hampton's weirdest dad. Cool
