Found this interesting the othert day, not quite WTF although the initial reaction at putting a bust size in a job ad was one of "how can i get away with that?"

Now the company has come under fire, mainly from overweight people who want the receptionist job but ignore the fact that half of the job description is to be a fit model.
What's a Fit Model you ask? Sounds like a made up job to let them hire a skinny chick with big tits to sit on reception you say?

What is wrong with people that so many need to actively look for an excuse to get offended?
Why did they pick size S? I don't know, maybe they already have people who do other sizes and this is the size they needed.

Not really in this case except insofar as you yourself are arcing up and calling malice on their part despite it being an obvious case of simple ignorance. They thought a "fit model" meant a slim, athletic type and were (setting aside that mistake) quite justifiably offended. Not bad people, just ignorant.
Bear in mind the context here.
(a) The company itself makes expensive, fashionable clothes for fashionable-shaped people (fatties need not bother trying their garments on, they won't fit) and deliberately avoids making products for the unfashionably-shaped type because that would tarnish their image as a fashionable brand.
(b) The whole bloody industry does much the same, to a greater or lesser degree, and in consequence unfashionably-shaped women can't buy fashionable brands of garment and have them fit properly.
(c) This forces them to buy unfashionable cheap and frumpy brands which they are ashamed of. Because no-one wants to wear frumpy brands, these sell for much less than the "good" stuff. In consequence:
(d) Most companies try hard to (i) sell into the fashionable-shaped market (with products which don't fit most women properly) and (ii) avoid selling into the unfashionable-shaped market because to succeed too much in the latter would taint your brand as one of those worn by unfashionable frumps and kill your public image as a cool thing-to-have stone dead.
(e) Most women are not the fashionable shape. It matters not in the slightest what that shape happens to be at any particular time, this fact remains true by definition in every year and every place. 10% or at most 20% of women are fashionably-shaped, another 30-odd percent try hard but don't quite cut it, the remainder are ugly frumps. Particular body fashions come and go and it's pretty much luck whether you happen to be born into a culture and a century where your own body shape is perfection or disaster, but the iron-clad rule that some particular shape is fashionable and all the other shapes are unfortunate afflictions to be ashamed of, and to be altered by any available means up to and including cutting bits off with a knife and/or sewing other artificial bits into your flesh. Both these and the many somewhat less gruesome methods of bodily modification in the name of fashion we put ourselves through (including but not limited to the endless published sure-thing diets and the astonishingly expensive products of the multi-billion dollar make-up industry) change nothing. No matter how many billions women spend on make-up and surgery and no matter how many fad diets and gym memberships they consume, at the end of the day there are still 10-20% of women who have a shape deemed fashionable and 80% who do not.
(f) Most of the money in the clothing trade comes either from the fashionably-shaped few (who try hard to stay ahead) or from the NQR 30-odd percent who don't quite manage the fashionable shape and try even harder to catch up. They wouldn't be seen dead in any brand that isn't the top brand (which only gets to be top because it is worn by the fashionable 10-20%), so they spend the money and it doesn't fit, but they spend the money anyway.
Oh, and there is quite a bit to be made from the frumpy bottom 50% too, some of them can spend a bloody fortune. No-one knows why, 'coz they will never, ever look like the fashionable shape and it's just a colossal waste of money for them. But for some reason it seems to make them feel better about being failures in life - for if you are a woman and you don't look great, what's the point of even being alive? You are a loser, condemned by the accident of body fashion and genetics. At least a man born poor can (if he is extraordinarily lucky) win a lottery or (if he is extraordinarily ruthless and determined and almost as extraordinarily lucky) get his hands on a fortune, at which point he is deemed fashionable and desirable no matter what shape his body is. But for a woman, no such short-cuts apply.
So for a company making clothing, you target the fashionably-shaped 10-20%. You must get them wearing your products; failure to do this is death. You'd also quite like to sell into the 30% and even the frumpy 50s provided no-one sees them wearing your product. To be identified as a brand the frumps wear is death! Your perfect world solution is to have the fashionably-shaped 10-20% wear your label; the NQR 30% buy it but not wear it too much 'coz it doesn't fit quite right; and a few of the frumpy 50s buy it too but not wear it in public 'coz it doesn't even almost fit, and anyway other women would snigger and whisper things like "mutton dressed up as lamb".
(You'd be amazed how many women regularly buy things two sizes too small for them in (they say) the expectation of being able to fit into it "soon", but (perhaps they admit it to themselves) really just to live the fantasy of being the sort of shape that it was cut for.)
Now, set all that against the circumstance where people read an ad for a "fit model" from a fashionable clothing company and guess incorrectly at the meaning of the term. Yep, they arc up, and they arc up pretty hard because they either already understand how the fashion industry works and hate it, or don't really understand how it works but just hate not being in the 10-20%, and they really really hate the fact that every time they buy clothing it either looks great and doesn't bloody fit, or it's some awful frumpy-brand thing they wouldn't want to be seen dead in.

As for your comment that they were "not ignorant, more like stupid", yep, well, if I was their lawyer I'd advise them to plead guilty on both charges, beg the mercy of the court, and ask to be let off with a suspended sentence.

Michigan judge bullies children in open court for refusing to see their dad
The Internet is abuzz this morning about Michigan Circuit Judge Lisa Gorcyca, who berated three juvenile siblings in her court before sending them to juvenile detention. Their crime? They didn’t want to have lunch with their father
Three Oakland County children who refused to go to lunch with their father, as part of a bitter divorce and custody battle between their parents, are spending their summer in the county’s juvenile detention center, according to court records.
“We’ll review it when school starts, and you may be going to school there,” Oakland County Family Court Judge Lisa Gorcyca told the children during a June 24 hearing, referring to the center in Waterford Township called Children’s Village, where authorities house as many as 200 juvenile offenders.
Gorcyca, who blamed their mother for poisoning the children’s attitude toward their father, ordered the children be sent to the center for defying her orders — while in court — that they go to lunch with their father.
The children — ranging in age from 9 to 15 — were deemed in contempt of court last month by Gorcyca for disobeying her orders to “have a healthy relationship with your father.”
