I like how this bloke elsewhere described this.

Quote:
As many of you know, Isildur's Bane, AKA The One True Ring, the method by which Sauron planned to subjugate the wielders of the other Rings to his will, was thought to have been finally destroyed after falling, along with Gollum and part of Frodo's finger, into the Crack of Doom, thereby ending Sauron's mad quest for power.

However, all was not as it seems. Unbeknownst to the commentators of Middle Earth, the One True Ring survived that event and somehow ended up in the possession of Aiden Steward, a fourth grade student in Kermit, Texas. Aiden brought the Ring to school and advised a classmate that he could use the ring to make the classmate invisible. Alarmed at the prospect of a fourth grader wielding the kind of power that turned Smeagol into Gollum, school officials acted swiftly and decisively in the face of this evident threat.

I think I speak for all of us when I say, "Whew. That was close."

WTF is he referring to? See here http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/texas-boy-suspended-bringing-ring-power-school-article-1.2099103

Love how the principal sites confidentiality to avoid public scrutiny when the kid's parents are trumpeting it from the rooftops.

Idiot principal should get fired. Also the kid got in trouble for bringing "The Big Book of Knowledge", sorry, no knowledge allowed in school.

But but but, the book had a picture of a pregnant woman in it. Shocked God forbid children should have any understanding of the mechanics of birth. (cabbages cabbages)

I couldn't figure out where to put this so here is as good as any.

I ran out of blood pressure tablets, took the last one yesterday. Forgot to buy any last night so this morning when I had none I took the script to work figuring I'd fill it in the morning, no harm done. Forgot to do that so went the day without the medication.

Tested the BP tonight when I got home from work, 155/100 without medication when I average 140/80 with it.

Really? The strongest medication they can give me does that little?

So went down the street to buy some more tablets and came home to find a young lady in my front yard. The rest is in a different thread.
