Perhaps the site can have a means by which (or witch Smile

) we verify intent, let's say:

A verified Collingwood F.C. membership (if there was a way to do this), so if a troll wants to buy a membership to get on and do their thing then so be it, but the club benefits financially. I doubt too many we do this.

Number two for those that aren't members (can't afford, too young or perhaps a troll) have some of the senior posters sponsor them on a trial or probation period. Sponsors could be volunteers, with say more than X years as a member, or anointed by the Mods, and if they are not happy with the newbie, PM the mods and they�re gone.

Or perhaps an eviction tool (used to evict tools!), more than x number of senior posters agree (perhaps using a poll) and the poster is gone.

The majority obviously wouldn't have to worry about being evicted as long as we make more than 2 senior posters a mandate (because if H & J.S. get together there won't be too many posters left)

P.S. Please don't evict me!

These threads only fuel their existence. They're only trolls when you let them be. Read through, respond or ignore, I don't see what the problem is.

While I agree for the most part, no one should have to put up with the personal attacks, like the one member has highlighted.

You are always going to meet people that you don't agree with but if you are civil and give your opinion without bringing other people down then there is no reason that civilised debate, on any issue can't take place.

I belive we should develope an ignore list. That is a list of forum members who are negative trolls. If we all put them on the ignore list no one will see their posts and they will soon loose interest and piss off.

My first addition is "Mr Dapper Travis Cloke"
