^I reckon clubs would take the punt if it didn't cost them any players/draft picks.

I doubt it as well.

I did hear Crameri to the WB though, how true that is, I don't know...

But imagine we get say Bellchambers on a 2 year contract & then he cops a 2 year ban, what then?
Are we still obliged to keep paying him or what?

Surely the afl must come out and protect clubs by offering some sort of immunity to clubs picking up a potential asada sanctioned player. A compensation pick or something. Essendon should also be penalised retrospectively if they were to gain from a trade where they pick up a clean player for someone who is eventually sanctioned. Anything short of that would be grossly unjust.

ASADA need to fast track the remainer of this process and any charges to be made should be done withing the next 3 months so that we can all move on.

How damn long do they want.

Pull their finger out or pizz off imo.

That would be the ideal scenario. Hard to see it happening though. If nailing players with enough evidence means taking a little extra time, I'm all for it. I have no idea how their process works or at what stage they're at.

I'm confused - is the Essendrugs fiasco finished ?
- how can the players not be penalised ?

The AFL have made an absolute dogs breakfast of this & heads should roll .

Has Hird only been pinged for bringing the game into disrepute & not as the mastermind of wholesale doping ?

It has dragged on for so long & I've been in Asia for the last 4 months - so I may have missed something , but the NRL have shown the AFL how to deal with situations like this .

^Infraction notices may still be issued, but that will depend on the outcome of the ongoing ASADA investigation.

The Essendrugs fiasco is finished on the administrative level, but there is a fair way to go until players are dealt with from the looks of it.

I can't see how players wont be banned. Their captain has openly admitted he took an S0 category substance. That's a two year ban, unless of course he has provided assistance to ASADA. 6 months is the best he can expect. There is nothing the AFL can do to speed this up.

Hird will never coach again once the consequences of his stupidity become clear. I've also little time for Watson. As the captain he should have done more to protect his players.

They are public servants. What do you expect?

Tony Abbott will put a bomb under them. They will have to prove their performance levels or get turfed. As it should be. Evil or Very Mad

There is a thing called due process, jack, which should never be sacrificed.
