Yep but the players haven't changed the way they play, they just get less breaks, I blame this partly too.
Is it luck, or lack of it?
It is little soft bodies?
How come geeefricken long have been so long without a massive injury hit? Is it there big hard bodies? Big hard fast bodies? That's unusual in it's self,
We are not the only team with a lot of injuries, more than there should be at this time of year.
Do we have the wrong players? Or is trying for ultimate fitness/strength not possible without help?
Two teams seem to have a big advantage right now.
And it's not us _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Last year the red and black team were knee deep in injuries. This year they are stronger than ever. The jailbirders just keep on keeping on.
Energiser bunnies or something else at work?
Just wondering. |

Except immediate kick ins, quick ball ups, no sliding to avoid congestion and keep the ball out and moving..... _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

The other injuries are just luck. Hawks are suffering this year when they had a gift run for most of 2012 |
May have been. Went back onto the ground based on a medical assessment, can't ask for more than that. Only other alternative is to undergo a scan at the ground. |

Bucks has already admitted they pushed Beams too hard and that led to bleeding in his calf, now Daisy is reportedly having troubles with the foot thats been operated on.
I'm aware he was eager to play for awhile but isn't our medical stuff supposed to make this call. Bad luck or not its indisputable they've been erring quite often of late.
And before I get attacked by my adoring fans, I'm not blaming Bucks but someone has to be held accountable for this nightmare.
Thats if we're interested in not seeing the repeat of it next year...... |

Gawd, wouldn't it be nice to see Geelong at the bottom for a few years, they are way overdue. Where is the natural bottoming out for this club let alone allowing for some sort of disfunction, such as contract disruptions or a long list of injuries or financial problems etc etc etc.
It seems most clubs besides Geelong have their bad luck with injuries or contract disputes, etc.
I would rather see the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne or St.Kilda have some success, maybe alternating every couple years with us at having premierships, but just give me a break from seeing Geelong in the finals every freakin year!! . Its making me sick to see this club succeed and then have to watch other success starved clubs bleed year after year.I feel for the Bob Murphys of this world and would be happy for him to get a premiership ( providing we get some ).
Just Pi ss off Geelong you bunch of arrogant wankers!!! _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

You might attribute those injuries occurring in the first place to Gawd but managing them and making sure they don't reoccur is in the hands of men. And we 've had 3 or 4 of those instances.
Now I'm sure our medicos are doing their best but its time for a new approach and fresh ideas on how to keep the list reasonably healthy.
And I disagree the recent rule tinkering has a lot to do with our injury toll, plenty of those injuries happened prior to the season's kick off. |

We should do whatever Norf are doing. They have hardly had a serious injury in the last 2 years. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

14 players, half of them arguably best 22 on the injury list again prior to round 1.
Nathan Freeman told me he reckons he was overtrained during the preseason.
Are we still blaming luck??? |

You may have a point but.
What frame of reference would Freeman have for being overtrained? This is his first AFL pre season. |
