Here we go again. In our faces again. Why I ask why? I will never understand why gays want to make such an issue of their sexuality? Does Collingwood want a hetrosexual coterie that is distinguished by its members promoting their sexual preference? It would seem ridiculous.I have no issue with gay people but I don't agree with their choice but in their own private houmes no issue with what goes on.

No because members of heterosexual clubs would be called biggots by the bleeding heart brigade, the civil rights flag bearers and the gay rights activists. Of course no hypocrisy would be involved.

And before you send the pitch fork carrying towns people to my house, I couldn't give a flying **** in a snow storm who people screw.

Folks can root goats for all I care, as long as the goat consents of course.

Just saying for sayings sake.

If you feel that you need to join a gay mob to somehow stick it up so called 'gay haters' then you seriously have some issues in your life.

The silent majority sit back like me at are astounded at the efforts the gay and the pro gay media want to draw attention to their sexual orientation and then complain that people are discriminating against them.

How about they just shut up and go back to their bedrooms where they can keep their sexuality private like the majority hetrosexual community do. Parades and constant bitching make their cause worse.

The "silent majority " gave us both Hitler and Richard Nixon. Fact. Shocked Rolling Eyes

Reminds me of one time I was at a Coll/Geelong game. The Geelong supporter behind Dad and myself spent all four quarters bagging Dale Thomas - Blond haired sissy/girl etc etc

You could hear the repressed desire bubbling so close to the surface it was almost tangible, Dad admitted after that he was close to asking the guy if he wanted to meet Dale afterwards as there was clearly something going on.

I simply cannot see a day where minority groups are viewed as equals in Australia. Sad.

I wouldn't be so pessimistic. It wasn't that long ago, relatively speaking, that views like BHPIE's were something approaching the norm. When you think about the progress of other civil rights movements (gender equality, black rights movement over in the US), gay rights has actually made remarkably swift progress. An open gay rights movement as such didn't exist until the early 1970s; sodomy was still illegal in most Western countries, what, under 30 years ago? Just three days ago, the UK house of commons voted to legalise same-sex marriage, and Australia is probably one more ALP government away from following suit. Don't get me wrong, I'm as frustrated as anybody that Gillard and Abbott have so effectively stalled progress on this for the time being, but the tide is still turning. We don't have long to wait.

^ I don't mean by government. You don't need to scratch the surface too deep.
