Kevin Rose will be made a life member of the AFL.
This honour should not go un-noticed by Collingwood supporters.
Kevin was a great player. I'm old enough to remember his great game in the 1964 Grand Final. Gabbo and others get the credit for nearly winning us that premiership but Kevin was our best player that day, keeping Ron Barassi to an ordinary game.

Kevin was an effective president, but despite that he willingly stepped aside when Eddie Maguire threw his hat into the ring. Someone with a larger ego wouldn't have done that.

Kevin Rose epitomises the Collingwood spirit at the highest level.

The Rose family are as Collingwood as Jock McHale, the Coventrys and the Colliers.

Bobby might be more famous (deservedly), but Kevin Rose is a pure gentleman and the most loyal servant of the greatest football club in the land.

Great news. Kevin has been a fantastic contributor for the Collingwood Football Club. Not only as a player, but also as president for the club throughout the 1990s.
