Thanks warburton lad.
Your unique summary is refreshing to read.
I love your decription of "Swan, Pendlebury and Beams; the Holy Trinity are ready to go in 2013". Very amusing _________________ Waiting for Premiership 15 ... amended now to 16 |

Thank you Warburton Lad, love the report & condolences about Auntie Svetlana. Is it true she knew Putin in in days gone by?
What was it that you liked about Kennedy today?
How was Russell in your opinion?
Was Yagmoor out there today?

Thank you Mr Watt Price Tully.
Kennedy has pace and shows great evasive skills. Very rarely was he tackled.
Russell turned it over once or twice but runs hard and makes the contest we crave.
Yagmoor trained but did not shine in my opinion. Too easily beaten in the contest one on one.
Elliott was in the rehab group but did not appear unduly limited in his movements.
Jolly is a big unit and appeared to be favouring his right hamstring but not sure on this. Perhaps just sore from busy session Monday _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

great info warburton lad, hows clarkey been traveling??? he seems to have trimmed up a bit since last home, hopefully he'll get a shot at a run with tagging role as he has the engine and endurance to suit, its make or break for him this year i'ed say, and i think he knows it himself, as he choose not to come home during the off season, he wanted to stay in melbourne to get a bit of extra work done, and he never ventured home for christmas also, just hope he gets a good start to the season and nails down a place in the 22 (its not going to be easy) but as long as he gives it a good lash.
keep the info coming lad great work _________________ ireland is watching |

Thanks for the report Lad. You must have a great memory to provide such details, or do you write things down in a note-pad? Did you see any new forward structures yesterday, or do you think we will go again with the set ups that we know work ie; The Kite and The Conga Line? Cheers. _________________ Barwick to Banks, back to Barwick- he shoots

Good morning Mr Pies 08.
I always take notes. My memory is not what it once was. I also consult with other Pies fans so, really, I have two sets of eyes. The Kite was in evidence yesterday, but has been modified.
The Conga Line was not seen.
I think the important things to notice yesterday were as follows:
* the large number of players on individual program's
* the enthusiasm of the new players (older recruits and new boys).
* the greater involvement of coaching staff other than Bucks, running the drills.
* The increased emphasis on foot skills (longer kicks) and the high intensity of the match simulation.
There was a real buzz about the group and one senses something special about the preparation for this campaign.
I saw a group yesterday that seem to be working very hard for each other, and the cause.
You should do yourself a favour Pies 08 and get around the boys by attending training. I know you are very busy with Anger Management at this time and I respect and support you in all of that.
I'm excited every year, but this year I feel we might salute again....
A very Happy New (Premiership) Year to all Nicksters by the way....

Wonderful write up as usual WL.
I'm sure Warbuton Lass helps when she can with your mild addiction, condolances to uncle Olag, and when you watch the Matrix again invite HAL over - he has the inside scoop on what it all means. _________________ Manassa is on the 50m, fakes the handball. Great post WL.
I was there yesterday and it was a special atmosphere, glorious day to boot, it will bring me back again, albeit a 5 hour trip.
I too was impressed by the kicking skills of old and new players.

Cheers Warburton Lad, great report always an entertaining read.
How did the mature rookies look namely Frost, Martin, Dwyer and Oxley?
Also young Broomhead and Ramsey how are they tracking?
Thanks. _________________ Up the Mighty Mags 2016. |

Thank you Loki 04. Aunt Svetlana was a keen Magpie fan in her own way and would be chuffed that so many of the Magpie family have passed on condolences to those left behind... Side by side and all that.
I was impressed by Frost. This guy will be an asset to the VFL team and reminded me a little of Ben Reid before his breakout season of 2010. The boy has pace and some skills and is going to be pressing for NAB cup action as will Hartley.
Martin and Dwyer look good, but as it was my first time seeing them, it was hard to tell who was who from a distance.
Broomhead is light and reminds me of Chris Dalkin or Mark Hanneberry in the way he covers the turf. For younger Nicksters think of A very young Nigel Lappin or even very early Gavin Brown when he was quite light. He has a good skills set and knows where to run but will need 'protection' when he plays to stop bigger players knocking him around too much.
Oxley has a bit of the hit-up forward about him (Crameri from Essendon style) and what I liked about him was the way he ran very hard on the lead to present as a target. He can do the multiple efforts too.
If you watch Buckleys pressed from yesterday you will here him say that competition for spots will be very intense this year. On what I saw yesterday, it will be white-hot to get a gig this year. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

Good morning Mr Third Degree.
They both look in. Tip top condition although both were in the lightly worked group yesterday. Neither appeared. Too inconvenienced. Buckley said in the press conference that loads will be managed in 2013 on an individual basis.
Perhaps this was part of it. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |
