Maxwell will and should remain captain for 2013. beyond that, can't say but Pendles is the heir in waiting.

Pendlebury.
If Maxwell loses the player vote his career essentially will be over. He is not in the best 22 on ability. |

I still believe Maxwell has a little a bit more to offer as captain this season, but presuming he's not captain this season, my vote goes to either Scott Pendlebury or Luke Ball.
I'd be happy with either of them to take over Nick Maxwell.

Maxwell should be captain until he wants to relinquish it. If so, I presume the next captain will be Pendlebury by default.
