and then you get the crazy man in China who also attacked 22 children at a primary school this morning.

Big difference - he had a knife.

Number of dead?

ZERO

yep and they are allowed in Michigan. Michael Moore tweeted this earlier:

Quote:
MICHAEL MOORE

Just 18 hrs ago, those Republicans in the Michigan House rammed thru a bill making it LEGAL to carry a gun into a school or day care center.

and all the loonies are coming out saying, if the teachers/children had been allowed to have guns then this wouldn't have happened. Yeah right - morons.

^ At least they're trying to propose solutions. The trouble is that there are only two: 1) tighter regulation; and 2) more guns. The second one's batshit insane, obviously, but common sense doesn't seem to be very prevalent over there.

These whacky solutions all miss the point.

We need comprehensive genetic screening to eliminate psychologically defective people from the gene pool before they can strike. And we need to reopen mental institutions and lock people up again. If that is seen as too harsh, then put them to sleep.

You think that's "out there" now. Don't. It will happen in the future. People will demand it. Humanism is dead, and we killed it (that is in essense what Nietzsche meant when he said, "God is dead and we have killed him.") Most people haven't woken up to that fact of history yet. But the future of our world depends on it.

This is shocking.

So much for the idea they need lax gun laws so people can protect themselves. As another poster noted, what's next, arming all children with weapons? "They are people too, so why shouldn't they also protect themselves" the crazy's will say.

If ever there was a time for them to tighten gun laws it is now. Obama doesn't have to face another election. Also, I can't see any Republican candidate standing any sort of chance against Hillary Clinton (with Bill by her side) in 2015 and 2018.

The Democrats have 9 years to make this happen. No, it likely wont happen during Obama's term (these things take time + he has an unfriendly Hill) but he should set the ground work for Clinton who can then finish the job.

For the land of the free and the home of the brave

It's time to rethink your gun laws

This is very sad

Right now? That is only a hypothetical.

Or, they could just take dangerous weapons out of public circulation. Far less controversial and far more practical.

That would be everyone Jacky. Don't think that you aren't capable of shooting up a school. Put anyone in the right circumstances and they would do the same thing.

And blaming 'defective genes' is just a copout. The man who did this was just as capable of making rational decisions as you or I.

Once again you can be sure that the blame will be laid squarely on the individual shooter and not the dangerous gun culture and weak gun control laws that allows civilians to arm themselves with all types of sophisticated weaponry.

Will they ever learn.
