Post subject: Bye Mum. I love you. And thanks. 2 years on ....Reply with quote

Mum passed away this morning about 2am.

Wednesday afternoon, I got the call from the doctor. From then I spent all but maybe 4or 5 hours with her. My sisters were there to, altogether, united.

My mum passed away with her pain masked by morphine, and all her daughters with her. She went peacefully.

I'm glad I got the time to tell her what I needed to, and to hold her hand and truly be there for her.

There wasn't a thread that fitted, and I wanted to thank those of you who have been so supportive of me over the last traumatic three years of my Mums decline.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Bye Mum. I love you. Always. Thank you for everything.

Sorry to hear that Jo. It must have been a horrendous 3 years.

But she's now at peace, and now you can find some too.

You mums journey is over. You can take comfort in knowing that you have done all things possible to assist her as a loving daughter. I am sure she always felt loved and supported.

Condolences for all concerned

May she rest in peace.

Not really sure what to write here, "condolences" or "Sorry for your loss" doesn't seem to cut it.

I'm glad she's finally at peace and that the suffering for all concerned is at an end, and I'm glad you took the final opportunity to spend that time and say to her what you wanted, whether she understood them or not.

It's over, you can get on with your life and look back fondly at the good times and memories that you have.

Take care Jo.

All the best Jo to you & your family.

Sounds like your mother had a terrific daughter (not talking about your sister either!!)

I echo Stui's words.

All the best to you & your family Jo.

Take care.
