Thanks for the memories Taz. Feel like I never really got used to seeing him back in black and white again.

As I'm sure Shane will point out, Taz will retire the last player to have played an AFL game for Collingwood at Victoria Park.

Edit: sorry, forgot about Heath Scotland.

No goodbyes yet. As ClokingDevice points out, there's still work to do and more memories to forge.

Taz isn't retired yet, I'll leave my thanks till he has. Hopefully after we win the 2012 Premiership.

I'd say I'd like to see him run through someone at the opening bounce without fear of sanction, but that doesn't generally seem to end well for the team that does that so maybe I'll just wish for a flag for him instead Very Happy

FTR, the other players left who've played at Vic Park are Andrew Embley, Luke Power and Simon Black.

Sounds good, except Brown went out in 2011 with a backfire!

Not surprised to hear about this decision. His body is now breaking down and he probably can't see himself enduring another long pre-season then another 22 H/A games, tough to do at 32 for tall types.

Hopefully somthing like this can help galvanise our group but I'm not holding my breath on that. We don't seem to be a side that draws on emotions too much.

Thanks for the memories Taz. At your best you were a high flying marking machine with the tank of Haile Gebrselassie.

Good for him to announce it now.
Hopefully this will be the spark to fire the team up as we head into finals!

Will never forget that hanger against melbourne, was sitting in the old northern stand, best mark ive ever seen live. David, surely ben johnson has played at vic park?
