The logical corollary of this assertion is that once a player has tasted premiership success and notwithstanding that his club remains a real contender to do it again, he will willingly walk away from further success for a price not exceeding $200,000 per season.
Ah yes, let's think of all of those past examples of players who have done that.

Geelong kept their side intact for three GF's in five years.
Yes they lost Abblett but not until after they had won two GF's and he had a falling out with the coach.
Mummford was a rookie and he was offered more money and a senior position at Sydney.
Happy to lose a rookie if we keep Travis.
When the salary cap cuts in the players who go are the oldest players.
So we will keep Beams ahead of BJ, Cloke ahead of Taz.
Krak is on low money so he may go but this will make very little difference to the salary cap.
