As this thread ticks into its 5th year, here's hoping Carlton adds its fifth wooden spoon to the collection! Twisted Evil

Mandy, I don't mind Cripps at all; Hine should have taken him ahead of one of his project cripples.

I know the Bont went before our pick, but imagine if we get he and Cripps instead of the Berg and Freeman. (Assuming we still get Aish 2 years later).

Yes, I drool at that prospect!
I suppose if you tank as often as Footscray and Carlton did; you're bound to hit the jackpot eventually with a good early pick!

We are not a well coached team.

Poor disposal, players running into each other. Forward entry to no one. Argh

Rowe, Thomas and White need to go. Full stop.

Daisy would battle in the VFL. He really is struggling.

Thank god that's over!

Please stop picking Thomas.

Letting Richmond kick 132 points ?? Not good Bolts.

Thomas an almost monty to be dropped. An absolute liability and some shocking decision making at times.

I was expecting alot worse

Ed Curnow needs to be dropped. He seriously can't kick or handball.

That was by far the worst game I've seen Cripps play

It's gonna be a long year,

Now My NEGATIVES:

Daisy:

- Like his name suggests, he should be put out to greener pastures. Game, past, going, gone, done.

Levi:

- Anyone who says he is a good contested mark is crazy.

- He is a liability when ball is in general play.

- Cost us goals in our own forward line and that was when he WASN’T kicking.

Armfield:

- Go help coach the womans team and develop your leaderships skills. Live AFL is gone for you son.

Quote:
A lot to like but dumb, dumb turnovers killed us.

Immensely frustrating to watch.

Quote:
Please someone tell me how Bolton left Martin unattended ALL night??????

Quote:
We have no midfield run.

Three things we need more than anything are run, skill, and ferocity.

Another two drafts I think, and much more pain ahead.

Quote:
Our senior players were just awful tonight. Simpson, Armfield, Thomas, Curnow - absolute shockers. Murphy and Gibbs just look like mediocre midfielders these days - get the ball a bit, don't do much with it most of the time, and get creamed by really good opponents like Martin. Kreuzer is just sad to watch.

Overall, bit disappointing. That Richmond team isn't likely to make finals, and we weren't really competitive. I didn't think our structures were great, and didn't see much improvement on our losing streak at the end of last year - we've lost 14/15 now if you count nab cup, and I'm not sure where I see the next win coming from... going to be a long, long year (again)

Greetings Jezza, welcome to another season of bluebellie pain, pain, and angst, another spoon for them, and by golly, haven't they got it in for dollar daisy now, boy, we really screwed them on that one. Laughing Laughing Yes, the old man did a splendid job torpedoing this vile mob, for years and years now, and we owe him a debt of gratitude. as for boy Bolton, the poor bastard now there, I give him this season, and he will go, he will cop the flak for another spoon. Keep up the good work mate, I can see you posting at least another eighteen defeats for this rabble, this season. Laughing

Not sure Bolton will leave after this year.

I think Carlton will stick with him regardless of what happens, but I do expect to be responding to 18 defeats this year Laughing

I really loved how conditioned their supporters have become to losing, that they post there with little emotion about the defeats. Laughing
