We saw the 3 Last Night in Ceglar,Witts and Paine and all showed a Bit.
Ceglar - Looked a bit Skinny but Improved as a night went on and Kicked a Nice Goal in the last Half vs GWS
Witts - Played Mostly in the Ruck but IF he is going to play AFL this year it would be as a Forward. Moved Well around the Ground and Took some Nice Marks.
Paine - Kicked a Ripper to win us the Game vs GWS. But Also I think he Competed Well and Never Gave up. Reminds me of Dawes _________________ I am Da Man |

Geez Dave, hard call based on one showing and with all having a lot of improvement to go.
If I had to choose one to play now it would be Witts simply because he would be a nightmare to match up. In 6 months time or 3 years time, no idea. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

are they really tall forwards?
fwiw, with ceglar i am going to forsake any semblance of sense or sensibilities and proclaim he will be our version of a dean cox in a few year's time. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Fortune favours the brave JW! And wouldn't it be something if it turned out to happen; would finally put to bed the 'Pies can't produce good ruckmen' argument.
Paine for mine; just showed a bit of X factor I thought. But it is hard to tell from those 2 games. Looking forward to the VFL season as much as the seniors really, a top bunch of kids this year by the looks! _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

Early days but I like Paine's aggression. Looks like he can play a bit too. |

How about none?
Pretty sure Ceglar and Witts are ruckmen
How is anyone supposed to decide based on two glorified practice matches?
This deification of Witts is becoming tiresome talk about putting pressure on a 19 year old who may not even play senior football this year. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

It's really hard to say. Witts and Ceglar are ruckmans, not forwards. I felt Jackson Paine competed well last night, and while that goal he kicked seemed like a fluke it was still awesome nevertheless.
Out of the three I would vote Paine, but none are in our best 22 at the moment. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

But but but..........he has so much potential as a Collingwood player we HAVE to deify him now so that people can then tear him down if he doesn't achieve the unrealistic expectations we set.
What's wrong with you man? Get with the program.

Ceglar has something about him which gives the impression it could come together very quickly. It's hard to pin it down probably because I haven't seen enough of him, but there's something about him which says natural footballer. Perhaps it's body positioning and reading of the play combined with memories of the marks he took in the twos last year. Those things rate way above other skills when it comes to tall youngsters IMO. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.
