Post subject: The Adelaide Crows SC/DT ReviewReply with quote

Last year the Crows had a year to forget, both on field finishing 14th and of course in Supercoach/Dreamteam with not many players being that popular. The biggest pick might have come from the Crows (Otten), Dangerfield may have looked like he had the goods, and Thompson showing that he still can get the big scores, but not much else was on offer. The draw for this year is very kind; they play The Power, The Suns and The Giants TWICE. This year might not be all that different as they try to climb back up the ladder but a few players may look like the early lock INS for this year.

Players to Watch in the Pre-season

Jason Porplyzia
SC $229,600
DT $202,500

The big thing you need to know about Porplyzia is that he gets injured very easily, The man is a walking crash test dummy. The last full season he had back in 2009 he kicked 57.20 and averaged 76pts (from 24 games), Based on that stat I would put him in, but just keep an eye on the injury reports, just in case you see his name.

Nathan Van Berlo
SC $475,300
DT $462,700

The captain of the club, last year he played better under Bickley then under Craig, if Brenton Sanderson plays him in the same role over the nab cup that he did when Bickley coached him, then I would consider him.

Sam Jacobs
SC $502,700
DT $434,200

Sam Jacobs, the #1 ruckman of the crows with Maric gone. He only missed 3 games last year, and got over 100 during 6 games, with his biggest score of last year being over 140 points. The pick of Jacobs would be a bit left of field, with the being Cox, Leuenberger, Natanui, Goldstein and Sandi being the mainstream rucks.

Scott Thompson
SC $598,800
DT $538,500

The highest paid player in SC/DT at the crows. With Riccutio, Goodwin and Edwards all gone in one year Thompson had become the main clearance man at the crows last year. He score 15 tons last year and his lowest score last year was 61 in round 7. With Brenton Sanderson now at the helm the question would be is he still going to play the role? To me it looks like it, so keep him in mind for this season if he looks like he could do it all again.

Hope you like my review on the crows, next up the lions.
