Don't laugh, but my sister took me to see American Werewolf in London when I was about 7 and I was so rattled I pissed the bed for a week after it.

Okay, I'll bite [after 5 years...]
So, it's 1982 and i'm twelve. Reckon I saw this at least three times at the WestEnd3 cinema at the top end of Bourke street. It was that cinema next to a car park. I've no idea if it is still there or not?
Anyhoo, always loved the movie, a John Landis classic.
One of the first movies I bought on DVD last decade.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned; The Saw movies, Nightmare on Elm Street movies or the scariest of all The Hostel.

I tried to watch saw, oh god that's just disgusting, what do they call it, torture porn?

Scream is the one that totally terrified me, and the hitcher, because they could actually happen!

I love the final destination movies! Lot of imagination went into them!

Horror movies don't do it for me, I can usually see it coming so the Freddie Kruger ones were a laugh.

The Saw movies, I watched a couple, didn't find them scary but found myself cringing and flinching at times. One scene where someone dived into a pit full of used syringes to find a key made my skin crawl.

I loved American werewolf in London.

Jaws is the one that actually scared me

Agree with you.

Jaws in some aspects is terrifying because it could happen in real life.
