Hmm, she thinks nicotine patches are to heighten the smoking experience too!

Back to Dinner.

Tuesday night after getting back to Melbourne from NSW and thinking I must have detoured and ended up in Antarctica, I cooked up a mexican meatball and bean thing.

Basically fry up the meatballs in one pan while frying up some onion, garlic, capsicum and chili in a big pan. Once there softened, tip in a bottle of Sugo Italian tomato cooking sauce, add in a drained tin of Red Kidney beans and a drained tin of butter beans, once the meatballs are cooked, tip them in too, stir and simmer for a while adding seasoning as required.

Serve over rice, with pasta or with veges and mash.

Leftovers of that got sent to the freezer today and I made up 2 different salads.

A Zucchini spaghetti salad and a mexican bean and corn salad.

I have a little gimwidget I picked up somewhere that makes spirals or spaghetti out of veges, so that was a piece of piss.

NB, the photos are from the website, not actual photos of what I made. What i made looks better.

Hah, got the meat balls from woolies.

Also discovered a nice little trick. Take a large glass, add 2 fingers of whisky and just a dash of the soda stream ginger beer cordial, add ice cubes and ice cold soda water and Bob's your business. Put down about 4 of them making the salads.

hic.

Oh no no no no no

1 night long ago, me, pa Marmo, his missus, and a couple of genuine Irish dudes, and a bottle of stones ginger. (Not sure what they were drinking). Great night, the cops enjoyed it too. the thought of ginger alcohol now, ugh, don't go there!

I'll try the balls though!

Gave the Stones a serious nudge yesterday in the heat, mixed with Jim with Ice and Soda was a damn nice tipple.

Still got a bit of salad left over, got some chicken fillets poaching in a Thai inspired broth. Had a taste of the broth about 10 minutes ago, very tasty. I've almost got feeling back in my bottom lip.

Spiralizer zucchini pasta

With too much chilli for junior

And too many veggies for hubby

But I loved it!

I'll have their leftovers for lunch tomorrow![/img]
