Does it have to go on the Telstra AFL Site? Seems that Telstra will only do things if you PAY them! Look how many ads there were before the game at Telstra's New Advertising Agency - The Dome.

I have been without a computer for a couple of weeks..and have just caught up on this post, and am sad and confused that telstra are not co operating with such an important interview.
What can we do about this?

What a great load of BULLSHITE!!!

If Ed was interview by someone from the AFL, fair enough, BUT.

So what is being said is that a Pressie cannot be interview by anyone unless the article appears on a AFL site? BULLSHITE!!!

If Nathan Buckley is interview by someone outside of the AFL the article must be posted on the AFL site?? BULLSHITE!!!

So who's chain is being pulled here???

If it isn't up on the site, you will be able to see it in the round 1 version of Hot Pies as well.

i'm not being negative lorelei, i just (like bones) honestly cannot understand what the AFL site has to do with any of this. If I stumbled across Eddie somewhere and asked him some general questions about the pies and told him that I'd like to show them on my own fan web page, does this mean i cant because he's property of AFL.com? Cmon surely the AFL site can get their own interviews without having to poach them from independant fan supporter groups. Or at least if they did use these independant fan supporter groups then they'd have the dignity to allow them to use the final outcomes as well.

It sounds a bit ridiculous.

Anyway I'm glad at least Hot Pies can show it. I dont understand why Hot Pies can though when Nicks cant. A Nick's exclusive? Basically Nicks page is being used "exclusively" to endorse a less than impressive site run by the AFL and its "contractors".

Get out and get Hot Pies, as you'll be doing yourselves a favour.

Official AFL webpages however... hmmmm.

Hopefully in future the AFL and the club will act more promptly. Jen had to type over 10 pages of information as well as write down the whole interview and edit it etc. She did all of this in a little over a day in her own time.

Its up to the AFL and Telstra and whoever else to act swiftly. The ball is in THEIR court.

Jen and Joffa, please don't take these frustrations to heart. The people who post here are proud of your efforts and thank you for them. We are just anxious to see an interview conducted by "a couple of us" if you get what I mean.

It's about as close as some of us are ever going to get to Eddie so we just can't wait. Please think of it like this: you put in a hell of a lot of work to not only secure the interview but go through the questions thoroughly and then type it all up for the site etc....all equals hard work on your behalf. To some of us its frustrating to see some of our pie family put in so much work and then not be able to enjoy it by letting others see it - as if it were telstra property.

Bloody good job you guys did on this...just would've been nice if telstra site could have treated this interview with the effort it deserves by putting it up with a reasonable amount of time. I work in IT for a living and I'm telling you if my response time was as quick as this I'd be sacked in a day!
